The JCC JC121412 is a 40-metre reel of warm white LED tape created for electricians, contractors and customers planning several coordinated indoor lighting runs. Instead of purchasing numerous shorter reels, installers can cut the required lengths from one continuous supply for kitchens, fitted furniture, retail displays, hospitality interiors and larger refurbishment projects.

Its 3000K warm white output adds a softer, more comfortable atmosphere to living spaces, restaurants, hotels, bars and customer-facing commercial areas. It is equally effective beneath kitchen cabinets, around ceiling coving, inside wardrobes or along shelving where discreet linear illumination is required.

Efficient illumination without excessive power consumption

Each metre produces 480 lumens while consuming only 4.8W, delivering an efficient 100 lumens per circuit watt. The strip contains 120 LEDs per metre, helping to create closely spaced illumination with fewer visible dark gaps.

The complete 40-metre reel provides a calculated nominal output of approximately 19,200 lumens, although it is intended to be divided into appropriately powered installation sections rather than operated as one continuous end-fed run.

Precise cutting for made-to-measure installations

Marked copper cutting points every 50mm allow electricians to prepare accurate custom lengths with minimal unnecessary tape. At just 10mm wide, the strip can fit a wide range of compatible JCC surface, recessed, corner, slimline and plaster-in profiles.

Using a suitable aluminium profile can provide a cleaner architectural finish, protect the LED tape and assist with heat dissipation. Adding an appropriate diffuser can also soften the appearance of the individual LED points.

Important driver-planning information

The complete reel represents a calculated 192W connected load. It cannot be operated by one 180W driver because the tape load would exceed that driver’s maximum rating.

JCC also advises that LED tape runs longer than 10 metres may experience increasing voltage drop. A practical installation approach is to create four 10-metre sections, each consuming 48W and each powered by a correctly selected 50W 24V constant-voltage driver. An electrician may design a different multi-feed system, provided that driver loading, cable size, polarity and voltage drop are correctly calculated.

The JC121412 is IP20 rated for dry indoor locations. It is not the IP65 moisture-resistant version and should not be exposed to rain, splashing water or persistent condensation. Drivers, profiles, diffusers, connectors and controls are purchased separately.
