Designed for larger interior lighting projects, the JCC JC121408 provides 30 metres of professional low-voltage LED tape on one convenient reel. Electricians can divide the strip into accurately sized sections for coordinated installations across kitchens, shops, restaurants, hotels, offices and residential developments.

The fixed 3000K warm white colour temperature creates comfortable, welcoming illumination. It works particularly well for kitchen cabinets, ceiling coving, wardrobes, reception desks, shelving, retail displays, hospitality interiors and decorative architectural features.

Operating at 24V DC, the JC121408 consumes just 4.8W per metre while producing 480 lumens per metre. Its efficient 100-lumen-per-watt performance makes it a practical choice for installations requiring long lengths of reliable accent lighting without unnecessarily high energy consumption.

The tape contains 120 LEDs per metre, positioning the light sources closely together to help create more consistent illumination. Installers can cut the strip every 50mm at the marked copper contacts, providing excellent control when preparing custom lengths.

For the most professional appearance, the 10mm-wide strip can be paired with suitable surface, recessed, corner, slimline or plaster-in aluminium profiles. A profile and diffuser can protect the tape, assist heat dissipation and soften the appearance of individual LED points.

Using all 30 metres represents a calculated connected load of 144W and a nominal total output of approximately 14,400 lumens. Correct electrical design is essential: JCC advises that tape runs exceeding 10 metres can experience increasing voltage drop and recommends considering a new power feed every 10 metres.

One practical arrangement is to divide the reel into three 10-metre sections. Each section consumes 48W and may be paired with a correctly selected 50W 24V constant-voltage driver. Other driver and parallel-feed arrangements may be possible, but cable size, voltage drop, total load and driver capacity must be checked by the installer.

The JC121408 is IP20 rated and should only be used in dry indoor environments. LED drivers, aluminium profiles, diffusers, connectors and control equipment are selected separately. Installation should be designed and completed by a suitably qualified electrician.
