The JCC JC121415 40m LED strip is a practical choice when one lighting project needs many measured sections of the same 4000K neutral white tape. Electricians can plan matching runs for kitchen units, utility shelving, fitted furniture, reception counters and retail displays. Its IP65 rating also makes it an option for appropriately designed features in locations where moisture protection is needed. 

JC121415 produces 480 lumens per metre at 4.8W per metre. It is well suited to creating a visible line of accent or supplementary light: illuminating the underside of a shelf, defining a cabinet edge or drawing attention to products in a display. The strip has 120 LEDs per metre, a 120° beam angle and a 10mm width. For a work area that needs strong task lighting, consider how far the tape will sit from the surface and whether a profile or diffuser will reduce the perceived brightness. 

The 40m length gives installers room to measure several runs for a larger job. Rather than treating the length as one lighting circuit, plan each cabinet, shelf or architectural feature individually. The tape has marked cut points every 50mm, helping it fit precise dimensions. JCC lists surface, slimline surface, recessed, corner and plaster-in profile options across its LED strip range. Check the selected profile’s internal size against the tape’s 10mm width and choose a diffuser to suit the appearance required. 

Specify the power supplies for the finished layout. JC121415 operates at 24V DC and requires compatible driver equipment. At 4.8W/m, a 5m section has a calculated rated strip load of 24W, a 10m section 48W, and the complete 40m 192W in total. Each driver must support the length connected to it. JCC warns that voltage drop can reduce output on runs over 10m and advises considering an additional power supply every 10m. Dimming depends on the driver and controls selected. 

Keep the IP65 protection intact when installing the tape. If the strip is cut or reconnected, JCC says the installer must protect the cut
