Description
Light several areas of a project with a consistent, clear white finish using the JCC JC121411 30m LED strip. This 4000K neutral white LED tape is suited to electricians planning measured runs beneath kitchen cabinets, along utility room shelving, within fitted joinery or across retail and reception displays. Its IP65 rating also makes it an option for appropriately designed lighting features in locations exposed to moisture.
JC121411 produces 480 lumens per metre while using 4.8W per metre. That makes it a useful choice for a defined line of accent or supplementary lighting—for example, highlighting a shelf, adding light beneath a cabinet or tracing the edge of a display. It has 120 LEDs per metre and a 120° beam angle. For a worktop that needs strong task lighting, assess the required brightness and mounting position before choosing the tape; a diffuser and the distance from the work surface will affect the finished result.
The 30m length is valuable when a scheme includes many separate sections. An installer can measure the kitchen units, island details and shelving individually, then cut the tape at its marked 50mm points. The strip is 10mm wide. JCC lists surface, slimline surface, recessed, corner and plaster-in profile options across the range, allowing the tape to be planned into different styles of joinery and architectural lighting. Check the chosen profile’s internal dimensions before ordering.
Design the power feeds for the actual layout. JC121411 operates at 24V DC and needs a compatible driver. A 5m section has a calculated rated strip load of 24W; 10m is 48W; and using the entire 30m amounts to 144W of strip load in total. These figures help size the connected supplies, but the 30m product length should not be treated as a recommendation to power one long run from a single end. JCC warns that voltage drop may reduce output beyond 10m and advises considering another power supply every 10m. Dimming depends on the driver and controls selected.
