HMX-A01S
Socket
Use a removable Type 2 cable and store it away between charges.
A good fit if you prefer a clear wall when the cable is packed away.
HUMAX MX7 EV CHARGERS
Choose a Type 2 socket or an attached 5m or 7.5m cable. Smart app control and solar compatibility help you build a charging setup around your home.
Up to 7.4kW on a suitable single-phase supply. Actual charging speed depends on your vehicle, installation and configured limits.

THREE WAYS TO PLUG IN
The main choice is how you connect your car. Pick a removable cable or the attached length that reaches your charging port comfortably.
HMX-A01S
Use a removable Type 2 cable and store it away between charges.
A good fit if you prefer a clear wall when the cable is packed away.
HMX-A01T5
A fixed 5m Type 2 cable for everyday charging without fetching a separate lead.
A good fit when the charger can be installed close to your parking space.
HMX-A01T7
A longer attached Type 2 cable for parking positions that need more flexibility.
A good fit if a 5m cable would be too short along the intended cable route.
Installation is not included unless stated on the product page. Check cable length, contents and full specifications before ordering.
Set a schedule around your routine and cheaper electricity periods. Confirm the correct hours with your energy supplier.
With compatible solar and the right installation, direct surplus generation to your EV after household demand is met.
Use the Humax Charge app to manage sessions, schedules and energy use. Plan a reliable connection at the charger location.
App and RFID access options help you manage charging. Ask your installer to demonstrate the chosen access mode at handover.
A LITTLE PLANNING GOES A LONG WAY
Take these details to your EV installer before choosing the final charger position.
Park as you normally would. Measure from the proposed charger position to your car’s charging port along a practical cable route, with comfortable slack. Choose 5m or 7.5m accordingly.
Have your installer assess supply capacity, the installation position and connectivity. For solar or energy management, agree the wired CT-clamp route and any additional metering needed.
Setting a charging window is different from an energy supplier directly controlling the charger. Confirm support for your exact tariff and vehicle before relying on a particular smart integration.
GOOD TO KNOW
Practical details to help you choose your version and plan the installation.
A socket charger uses a removable charging cable, which you connect when needed. A tethered charger has an attached cable, making it convenient to plug in each day. The EO options here are socket, 5m tethered and 7.5m tethered.
Not necessarily. The actual AC charging rate is limited by the vehicle’s onboard charger, the electrical supply and configured charging limits. Ask your installer to check the combination for your car and property.
MX7 supports surplus-solar charging with a compatible installation. Your installer should check the CT clamp, metering and configuration required. Solar generation varies, so it does not guarantee a full charge from solar alone.
Do not assume universal integration. At the time this section was prepared, Humax described Octopus Intelligent integration as in progress and Agile as not officially supported. Check current support with Humax and your supplier for the exact tariff. Ordinary scheduled charging is a separate feature.
Arrange installation through a suitably qualified EV installer, and confirm whether your EO order includes any installation service. Humax advertises a five-year manufacturer warranty when the charger is registered online, subject to its terms. Keep your purchase and commissioning records.
Tell us your car model, parking setup and whether you prefer an attached cable.
