Description
The HMX-A01S is the socket version of the MX7. Connect a charging cable suitable for both the charger and your vehicle when you need to charge.
Its rated output is up to 7.4kW on a suitable single-phase installation. The power your car actually receives depends on the vehicle’s onboard AC charger, the electrical installation and any configured charging limits.
With a compatible solar installation and the correct setup, the MX7 supports directing surplus solar electricity to your vehicle after household needs have been met.
This gives homeowners with solar panels another way to use their generation. Ask your installer to confirm the metering, configuration and compatibility required for your property.
Choose how you start charging
The MX7 supports app, RFID and plug-and-play charging modes. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE and Ethernet provide connection options, with 4G listed as optional.
Plan connectivity at the proposed charger position before installation. A reliable connection supports app features, remote access and software updates.
Understand V2G hardware readiness
The MX7 includes hardware and communications intended to support future vehicle-to-grid functionality. However, Humax currently states that V2G and vehicle-to-home operation are not commercially supported.
Do not select it on the assumption that you can immediately export energy from your car or power your home during an outage. Future operation depends on compatible vehicles, software, certification, energy services and grid arrangements.
