JCC JC121311 50m 24V 7.2W/m RGBW 3000K LED Strip Project Reel

Plan larger colour-changing lighting installations from one professional reel with the JCC JC121311 50m RGBW LED strip. Designed for commercial interiors, hospitality venues, retail displays, residential developments and multi-room feature-lighting projects, this long reel gives electricians the flexibility to cut and configure multiple coordinated RGBW lighting sections.

The tape combines red, green, blue and a dedicated 3000K warm-white channel. When connected to compatible JCC RGBW control equipment, these channels create 16 colour options, adjustable brightness and dynamic lighting effects. Customers can choose colourful feature lighting for events or displays, then switch to comfortable warm-white illumination for everyday use.

A project reel designed for multiple lighting sections

The JC121311 is supplied as a continuous 50-metre reel, but the full reel is not intended to operate as one long, single-end-fed run. At 7.2W per metre, all 50 metres represent a calculated connected load of 360W.

This exceeds the maximum 350W rating of one JCC RGBW controller. Long LED strip runs may also experience voltage drop, resulting in reduced brightness and inconsistent colour output further along the tape.

The installation should therefore be divided into shorter, separately powered sections. One practical project arrangement is five 10-metre sections. Each section has a calculated 72W load and can be paired with appropriately selected 24V control equipment and a compatible constant-voltage driver.

Several controllers may be assigned to the same compatible remote-control zone where coordinated operation is required. The final number of drivers and controllers must be calculated by the electrician according to the tape lengths, cable runs, required zones and chosen control system.

Dedicated warm-white channel

RGBW tape provides greater everyday flexibility than standard RGB strip. Instead of attempting to create white by mixing coloured LEDs, the JC121311 includes a dedicated 3000K warm-white channel.

This allows the same installation to provide coloured atmosphere, dynamic effects and comfortable warm-white background lighting. It is well suited to bars, restaurants, hotels, entertainment rooms, reception areas, display furniture and architectural features.

Accurate cutting for customised installations

The tape can be cut every 100mm at the marked copper contacts, allowing accurately sized sections to be prepared from the 50-metre reel. Cutting anywhere else can damage the circuit tracks and affect the operation of the LEDs.

All reconnections must preserve the correct positive, red, green, blue and white channel polarity. Compatible five-core connectors or professionally completed soldered connections should be used.

A compatible RGBW controller, remote control, 24V constant-voltage drivers, connectors and aluminium profiles are required separately. This 50-metre reel must be divided into correctly designed sections and installed by a qualified electrician.
