So, let's get into how this will work.
How to start:
Visit the app store/play store on your phone and search 'Grid Rival', install the app and sign up by following just a few small easy steps. From there, visit the 'Leagues' tab on the app and search 'Electricals Online', we'll be right there at the top! From here simply press the join league button and you're in. Feel free to navigate around the app to change your name, team name, profile picture and more.
Just one more thing before you get ready to race, we'll need you to send an email to hello@electricalsonline.co.uk with the subject line 'F1 League' confirming your email used on the app, and your team name. This is so we know who you are in the league so we can contact you about your prizes at the end of the season.
Pick your team:
Picking your team is simple, but it's not an easy decision! You have £100,000,000 to play with, ready to be spent on 5 drivers and 1 constructor. Each driver can be signed for 1-5 races, depending on how long you would like to keep them, then after those races there is a 1 race cooldown before you can select said driver again. For example, if I were to sign Verstappen for 5 races, I would not be able to select him for race week 6, I would have to wait until raceweek 7.
Be aware, drivers values will fluctuate throughout the season, so if you think a driver is undervalued it could be worth signing them before they get too expensive!
Earn some points:
Points are earned from qualifying, race finish, overtakes, improvement, completion & beating teammates.
If your driver qualifies in first they will earn 50 points, going down to just 12 points for qualifying in last place, the same applies to race finish points, except this ranges from 100 to 43 points, proving to be highly important to scoring points!
After this, comes overtake points, with 3 points being awarded for every position gained from qualifying position to race finish position. Then, we have improvement points, where if a driver improves upon their 8 race average they will be awarded points based on how much they have improved by, you can earn up to a massive 30 points from this so keep it in mind when choosing your team.
The last two ways to gain points are beating teammate points & completion, if your driver finishes above his teammate, he will earn between 2 to 12 points, as for completion points, a driver earns 3-12 points depending on how much of the race they complete.
The prizes:
At the moment the prizes have not yet been confirmed, but they will be shortly, and they will be good! Prizes will be given out depending on where you finish in the league, helping to encourage our players to come back each week and try their best.
