Designed for straightforward everyday operation, this surface-mounted thermostat has an easy-to-read digital room-temperature display and illuminated plus and minus buttons. The required temperature can be adjusted between 10°C and 30°C, making it suitable for managing comfort levels across a wide range of domestic heating applications.

The built-in night setback function temporarily reduces the selected temperature by 4°C. It can be set for a period of between one and nine hours, helping reduce unnecessary heating overnight without requiring the main thermostat setting to be changed.

A dedicated frost-protection mode helps protect the property and heating system during colder conditions. The display also shows a heating symbol when the thermostat is calling for heat, providing a clear visual indication of its operating status.

The TRT033N uses PID temperature control and offers an adjustable temperature swing of either 0.5°C or 1°C through its internal DIP-switch settings. This allows the installer to configure the thermostat to suit the heating system.

Its voltage-free changeover contacts support connection to a range of compatible heating or cooling equipment. The thermostat display and controls are powered by two AA batteries.

What is the Timeguard TRT033N?

The TRT033N is a digital room thermostat designed to switch compatible heating or cooling equipment on and off according to the selected room temperature.

Is the TRT033N a programmable thermostat?

It is not a full seven-day heating programmer. It allows the user to select a temperature and includes a temporary night setback function, but it does not provide a complete daily or weekly heating schedule.

A separate heating programmer may be required to control the times at which the heating system operates.

What does the night setback function do?

Night setback temporarily reduces the selected room temperature by 4°C. The reduction can be applied for between one and nine hours.

For example, when the normal setting is 20°C, activating night setback changes the target to approximately 16°C for the selected period.

Does the night setback operate automatically every night?

The night setback function is manually activated. It includes a recall function so the thermostat can repeat the selected setback duration at the corresponding time on subsequent days, subject to the product settings and instructions.
