The THORNeco Leonie VarioFlex 96635663 is an anthracite LED floodlight that lets the installer choose both the light colour and output on site. With three colour temperatures, three output settings and a 16W maximum input, it provides flexibility when lighting outdoor areas.

Thorn identifies building façades, footpaths, gardens and car parks as applications for the Leonie range. The appropriate quantity, mounting position and output should be selected around the area being illuminated.

Choose the Light Colour to Suit the Surroundings

The VARIO colour-temperature switch offers 3000K, 3500K or 4000K.

Choose 3000K for a warmer appearance, 4000K for a cooler white light, or 3500K for a setting between the two. This is useful when matching nearby lighting or deciding which colour works best against a building’s exterior finishes.

The selection is made at the fitting rather than by ordering a separate fixed-colour version.

Three Output Settings in One Floodlight

The FLEX output selector provides published reference outputs of 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 lumens. This allows the installer to select an appropriate level without automatically using the maximum output.

The maximum setting is rated at 16W and 2,000 lumens, with a published efficacy of 125 lumens per watt. Colour-specific performance should be checked against the manufacturer’s data where exact output is required.

Output selection is a commissioning feature. It should not be confused with confirmed compatibility with a conventional wall dimmer or a DALI control system.
