Description

Secure Radbot 1 Intelligent Smart Thermostatic Radiator Valve

The Secure Radbot 1 Intelligent Thermostatic Radiator Valve (TRV) is a clever, self-learning radiator thermostat designed to automatically control room-by-room heating without requiring Wi-Fi, an app or complicated heating schedules.

Unlike a standard thermostatic radiator valve, Radbot 1 uses an intelligent self-learning algorithm to understand how each room is used. It detects and predicts occupancy patterns, then automatically adjusts the radiator's heating pattern to help keep occupied rooms comfortable while reducing unnecessary heating when rooms are empty.

Simply install it, select your preferred comfort temperature and let Radbot 1 automatically learn your routine.

Smart Heating Without Wi-Fi or an App

Want smarter heating without connecting another device to your Wi-Fi?

Radbot 1 works completely independently.

There is:

  • No Wi-Fi required
  • No smartphone app required
  • No smart-home hub required
  • No online account required
  • No complicated heating schedule to programme

The intelligence is built directly into the radiator controller, creating a genuine set-and-forget smart TRV.

Self-Learning Room-by-Room Heating

Radbot 1 continually learns how a room is used.

Its intelligent algorithm detects occupancy patterns and automatically creates a heating schedule based on real-world room usage.

When a room is normally occupied, Radbot works to maintain comfort. When the room is typically empty, it can reduce unnecessary heating.

This gives you automatic room-by-room heating control without manually programming individual schedules.

Save Energy by Heating Rooms When They're Needed

Heating empty rooms wastes energy.

Secure states that installing Radbot 1 can provide up to 30% heat-energy savings, depending on the property, heating system and usage.

Instead of heating every room in exactly the same way, Radbot allows individual radiators to respond intelligently to how each room is actually used.

Works with Boilers & Heat Pumps

Radbot 1 is designed for wet central heating systems using radiators.

It is suitable for systems including:

  • Gas boilers
  • Oil boilers
  • Compatible heat pump systems
  • New heating installations
  • Existing heating system upgrades

It can also work alongside standard heating controls and smart thermostats.

FAQ's

What is Secure Radbot 1?

The Secure Radbot 1 is an intelligent self-learning thermostatic radiator valve (TRV) that automatically adjusts radiator heating according to how a room is used. It learns occupancy patterns and creates its own heating schedule without requiring Wi-Fi, an app or manual programming.

How does Radbot 1 know when to heat a room?

Radbot 1 uses built-in sensors together with a self-learning algorithm to detect and predict room occupancy patterns. Over time it learns when a room is normally occupied and automatically adapts its heating pattern accordingly.

Does Secure Radbot 1 need Wi-Fi?

No. Radbot 1 does not require Wi-Fi or an internet connection. Its self-learning technology operates directly within the radiator controller, making it a useful smart-heating option for properties without reliable internet access or customers who don't want app-controlled heating.

Does Radbot 1 require a smartphone app?

No. There is no smartphone app required to use Radbot 1. Once installed, the thermostat learns how the room is used and automatically manages its heating pattern.

Is Radbot 1 a smart TRV?

Yes. Radbot 1 is an intelligent or smart thermostatic radiator valve, but it works differently from many Wi-Fi smart TRVs. Rather than relying on an app and manually programmed schedules, Radbot automatically learns room occupancy and adjusts heating accordingly.

Can Radbot 1 save money on heating bills?

Radbot 1 is designed to reduce unnecessary heating by lowering the temperature in rooms when they are not normally occupied. Secure states that the system can achieve up to 30% heat-energy savings, although actual savings depend on the property, heating system, installation and how heating is used.

Does Radbot 1 completely turn off radiators in empty rooms?

Rather than simply switching heating completely on and off based on movement, Radbot intelligently manages the room's setback temperature. This helps balance energy efficiency with comfort and environmental conditions.

Will Radbot 1 fit my existing radiator valve?

Radbot 1 is designed to replace the head of many common domestic thermostatic radiator valves. It comes with five valve adaptors covering M28 x 1.5, M30 x 1.0, M30 x 1.5, Danfoss RA and Danfoss RAVL connections. The existing valve should be checked for compatibility before ordering.

Do I need a plumber to install Radbot 1?

When replacing the head on a compatible existing TRV valve body, no plumbing or wiring is normally required. The existing TRV head is removed and Radbot is screwed onto the valve directly or using the appropriate supplied adaptor.

Can Radbot 1 work with a gas boiler?

Yes. Secure specifies Radbot 1 as compatible with wet central heating systems including gas boilers.

Can Radbot 1 work with an oil boiler?

Yes. Radbot 1 can be used with compatible wet central heating systems powered by oil boilers, providing individual radiator temperature control.

Can Radbot 1 be used with a heat pump?

Yes. Secure states that Radbot 1 is compatible with wet central heating systems including heat pumps, making it suitable for both traditional and lower-carbon heating installations where system requirements are met.

Can Radbot 1 work with an existing smart thermostat?

Yes. Radbot 1 can work alongside standard heating controls and smart thermostats. Your main thermostat controls the overall heating system, while individual Radbot controllers provide more intelligent room-by-room radiator control.

Do I need Radbot 1 on every radiator?

You don't necessarily need one on every radiator for the individual units to operate, but installing intelligent radiator control across multiple appropriate rooms allows more of the property to benefit from room-by-room heating optimisation.

What does the Radbot 1 Boost button do?

The Boost button provides a temporary heating override when additional warmth is required outside the room's normal learned schedule. This means you can request extra heat without having to reprogramme the controller.

Can I manually adjust the temperature on Radbot 1?

Yes. Radbot 1 includes a simple twist control providing ±1°C adjustment, allowing the user to make the room slightly warmer or cooler while retaining automatic intelligent control.
