Description
IP65 LED batten with selectable output and emergency backup
The Ovia Inceptor U-Lite OXU427-E is a 1200mm LED emergency batten with a light grey polycarbonate base, polycarbonate diffuser and stainless steel retaining clips. It combines normal lighting with battery-backed emergency operation, providing a practical option for utility areas, stores and workshops where the installation conditions suit its ratings.
The fitting is rated IP65 against dust and water ingress and IK08 for mechanical impact resistance. Its dimensions are 1200 × 96 × 83 mm, making it a 4ft-format fitting for new installations or complete luminaire replacements.
Four power settings and three white-light colours
Selectable 14W, 18W, 23W and 27W LED settings provide four output choices. For this emergency version, Ovia lists corresponding total circuit ratings of 16W, 20W, 25W and 29W.
Normal light output ranges from 2,240 to 4,320 lumens, allowing the installer to select an appropriate level for the lighting design. Colour temperature is separately selectable between 4000K, 5000K and 6500K, giving a choice from cool white through to daylight.
These are installation settings. The standard OXU427-E is non-dimmable, so power selection should not be confused with everyday brightness adjustment from a dimmer.
Three-hour emergency operation with selectable self-test
During emergency operation, the fitting provides a published 300 lumens for at least three hours, using a 6.4V 1600mAh LiFePO4 battery.
Ovia documents maintained and non-maintained wiring options, allowing the electrician to configure normal and emergency operation to suit the installation. Self-test can also be enabled or disabled through the emergency converter.
The emergency output is separate from the normal lighting output. Fitting positions and coverage must therefore be assessed using emergency lighting data, rather than the full mains-output figure.
