The JCC LEV71960 is a plug-and-play microwave on/off sensor designed to add automatic movement detection to compatible RadiaLED Rapid Pro and RadiaLED Rapid Pro Slim LED bulkheads. It is an ideal accessory for electricians upgrading standard fittings in corridors, stairwells, communal entrances, apartment buildings and commercial circulation areas.

When movement is detected, the microwave sensor automatically switches the connected bulkhead on. After the selected hold time passes without further movement, the light switches off. This helps prevent lights from operating unnecessarily in areas that are only occupied occasionally.

Unlike a photocell-only sensor, LEV71960 detects movement and also provides configurable daylight control. Electricians can adjust its settings using the integrated DIP switches:

• 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% detection area
• Hold times of 5 seconds, 90 seconds, 5 minutes or 15 minutes
• Disabled, 5-lux, 15-lux or 50-lux daylight thresholds

Reducing the detection-area setting also reduces the sensor’s sensitivity. At maximum sensitivity, the stated detection distance is up to approximately six metres, although actual performance will depend on the bulkhead position, mounting height and surrounding environment.

The 5.8GHz microwave sensor uses a maximum transmitting power of 1mW. JCC provides separate detection information for wall and ceiling installations, allowing the installer to select the most appropriate position and configuration for the project.

Additional settings can be adjusted after installation using the compatible JCC LEV71930 remote control, which is available separately. The remote provides extra hold-time options and allows settings to be changed without reopening the fitting.

LEV71960 uses JCC’s plug-and-play connector system and clips directly into the body of a compatible RadiaLED bulkhead. This enables a standard compatible fitting to be upgraded with automatic movement control without replacing the entire luminaire.
