JCC JCEM110015BLK EscapeLUX High-Output Black Emergency Bulkhead

Its black finish complements exposed ceilings, black conduit, steelwork and contemporary commercial environments where a traditional white fitting may appear too prominent.

With selectable 1,000 or 1,500-lumen output, this high-performance emergency bulkhead is designed for larger areas where a standard low-output fitting may not provide sufficient coverage. Suitable applications include warehouses, factories, covered car parks, transport buildings, entertainment venues and wide commercial escape routes.

Selectable high-output emergency performance

The JCEM110015BLK provides selectable 6.5W or 10W emergency settings with corresponding 1,000 or 1,500-lumen output options. This gives emergency lighting designers greater flexibility when planning installations with different mounting heights, spacing requirements and escape-route dimensions.

Its wide 130° beam angle distributes emergency light across a broad area, while a CRI of 80 supports clear recognition of the surrounding environment. The fitting delivers 100% of its specified light output ratio during emergency operation.

The appropriate power setting and number of luminaires must be confirmed through project-specific emergency lighting calculations.

Non-maintained emergency lighting

The JCEM110015BLK operates as a non-maintained emergency fitting. It remains off while the normal mains supply is available and illuminates automatically from its battery when the permanent supply fails.

This operating method is suitable for areas requiring dedicated emergency lighting without continuous illumination during normal building use.

Selectable manual or self-test operation

Electricians can configure the fitting for either manual testing or automatic self-testing. In self-test mode, the luminaire performs scheduled checks of its battery connection, LED module and three-hour emergency duration.

A bi-colour status indicator communicates the fitting’s condition. Green indicates normal operation or an active test, while red indicator patterns identify battery, lamp or duration faults.

Automatic testing can reduce manual maintenance work, but responsible personnel must still complete visual inspections, investigate reported faults and maintain an emergency lighting logbook.

Three-hour LiFePO₄ battery

The integrated 6.4V 6.6Ah LiFePO₄ battery provides a minimum three-hour emergency duration following the required initial 24-hour uninterrupted charging period.

JCC supplies a five-year warranty covering both the luminaire and its battery. The battery must be replaced if periodic testing shows that it can no longer achieve the required three-hour duration.
