JCC JC84320BLK Black Round GU10 Surface Mounted Ceiling Downlight – IP20, Lamp Not Included

The JCC JC84320BLK is a black, round surface-mounted GU10 downlight for indoor ceilings. Its cylindrical shape gives a clean, modern finish while avoiding the large ceiling cut-out needed for a recessed downlight. It is a useful option for rooms where you want a ceiling spotlight but the ceiling construction or available void makes recessing a fitting impractical. The fitting measures 110mm high × Ø56mm. 

The GU10 lamp is not included. Choose a suitable GU10 LED lamp up to a maximum of 7W to complete the light. This lets you select the lamp’s colour temperature, brightness and beam angle for the room, within JCC’s stated wattage limit. Those light-output characteristics come from the lamp you fit, so JC84320BLK itself has no fixed lumen or 3000K/4000K specification. JCC’s instructions explicitly say not to use halogen lamps. 

Designed specifically for indoor ceiling mounting

This is a ceiling-mounted fitting, not a wall light. JCC rates it IP20 and specifies indoor use only. It suits appropriate dry indoor spaces such as hallways, bedrooms, living areas, home offices, retail interiors or reception spaces. For a bathroom, outdoor area or another location with particular moisture requirements, select a fitting with the appropriate rating for that installation.

What do I need to buy with JC84320BLK to make it work?
You need a GU10 LED lamp, which is not included. Choose one rated 7W or less. Your electrician can advise on any fixings or connection materials needed for your ceiling.

Why choose this instead of a recessed downlight?
JC84320BLK mounts on the ceiling surface, so it does not need the large circular cut-out or ceiling void required by a recessed downlight. It is particularly useful where you want a ceiling spotlight but cannot recess one. It still needs fixing holes and a route for the wiring.

Will it fit on a concrete ceiling?
Its surface-mounted design may suit a concrete ceiling, provided the electrician can make a secure fixing and safely route and connect the supply. The correct fixings depend on the ceiling material and condition. JCC specifies ceiling mounting only. j

How bright will this downlight be?
The brightness depends on the GU10 LED lamp you buy separately. Look at the lamp’s lumens, not just its wattage, and keep within the fitting’s 7W maximum. JCC does not give the empty fitting a fixed lumen output.

Can I use a warm white lamp in the black fitting?
Yes. Choose a compatible GU10 LED lamp in your preferred colour temperature. For example, the light colour can be selected through the lamp rather than being fixed by JC84320BLK.

Can I use a dimmable GU10 bulb?
A dimmable GU10 LED lamp may be selected within the 7W limit, but dimming also depends on the wall dimmer and their compatibility. JCC does not provide a dimmer compatibility list on this fitting’s product page, so have the electrician check the complete combination.

Will a smart GU10 bulb work?
Check the smart lamp’s GU10 cap, wattage, physical dimensions and manufacturer installation requirements before purchase. It must fit within this enclosed cylindrical fitting and remain at or below 7W. Smart-lamp compatibility is not specified by JCC for JC84320BLK.

Can I use an old halogen GU10 bulb I already own?
No. JCC explicitly prohibits halogen lamps in this fitting. Use a suitable GU10 LED lamp up to 7W.
