The JCC JC73029 Parluma LED Downlight provides adjustable commercial lighting performance in a contemporary all-black finish. Its black bezel and matching black reflector create a discreet architectural appearance, making it particularly suitable for dark ceilings, exposed-services interiors, modern shops, restaurants, bars, hotels and design-led residential projects.

With selectable wattage and colour temperature, the JC73029 gives electricians greater flexibility during installation. One downlight can be configured to suit different room sizes, lighting levels and interior environments, helping contractors reduce the number of separate product variants required on site.

Two selectable light-output levels

The installer can select either 6W or 9W:

• 6W produces approximately 760 lumens, suitable for smaller rooms, corridors, lower ceilings and softer lighting schemes
• 9W produces approximately 1080 lumens, providing stronger illumination for larger areas and more demanding commercial applications

The fitting offers energy-efficient performance of up to approximately 127 lumens per circuit watt, helping reduce electricity consumption compared with older recessed lighting technologies.

A controlled 40-degree beam angle directs the light downwards, making the JC73029 suitable for organised rows, feature-lighting layouts and professionally calculated commercial lighting schemes.

Choose the preferred colour temperature

Three colour temperatures can be selected during installation:

• 3000K warm white creates a comfortable atmosphere for restaurants, lounges, hotels and residential interiors
• 4000K neutral white provides clear everyday illumination for shops, kitchens, offices and circulation areas
• 5700K daylight white creates a crisp, task-focused appearance for brighter working environments

The wattage and colour settings allow contractors to adapt the downlight to the requirements of each area while maintaining a consistent visible fitting throughout the property.

All-black architectural appearance

Unlike standard downlights with white or metallic reflectors, the JC73029 has a coordinated black bezel and black internal reflector. This allows the fitting to blend more naturally into black, charcoal and industrial-style ceilings when switched off.

It is an excellent choice for retail displays, hospitality interiors, contemporary kitchens and commercial refurbishments where the appearance of the ceiling is an important part of the overall design.

Practical installation for electricians

The JC73029 is designed for 90–98mm ceiling cut-outs and has an overall diameter of 106mm. This generous aperture range makes it useful for both new projects and suitable retrofit installations where existing ceiling openings vary slightly in size.

Spring clips provide secure recessed mounting. The supplied driver incorporates loop-in/loop-out terminals with permanent-live and earth provision, supporting efficient wiring across multiple fittings.

A minimum 95mm ceiling void is required. The fitting and driver must not be covered with thermal insulation, and the clearances stated in JCC’s installation instructions must be maintained.

The IP65 rating offers protection against dust and water jets. This makes the downlight suitable for demanding interior locations and potentially suitable bathroom zones, subject to the installation position, circuit protection, BS 7671 and the electrician’s assessment.

Please note that JC73029 is non-dimmable. It should be operated from a standard switched lighting circuit and must not be connected to a conventional dimmer. Alternative Parluma models are available for Triac, DALI, 1–10V and switch-dim installations.
