Description

The JCC JC72305EMMW Skytile Surface Linear combines three useful features in one white indoor fitting: bright everyday LED illumination, microwave on/off movement sensing, and battery backed emergency operation. It is a practical option for commercial corridors, circulation areas, offices and similar dry indoor spaces where the light should respond to activity and the emergency lighting design calls for backup during a mains failure.

During normal operation, the fitting provides a manufacturer-listed 4200 lumens of 4000K neutral white light. Its wide 120° distribution and opal diffuser help create broad general illumination. The white rectangular housing has a shallow 54mm depth, giving it a tidy ceiling profile, and JCC highlights its wipeable surface and secure anti-tamper construction. The result is a fitting that suits working interiors where appearance and day-to-day upkeep both matter.

Set the microwave sensor for the room

The built-in microwave on/off function responds to detected movement. JCC’s Skytile Surface instructions describe adjustments for detection area, hold time and daylight threshold. An installer can set how readily the sensor responds, how long the light stays on after activity ends, and whether it should switch on when the surrounding space is already bright. These settings should be checked in the completed room, since mounting position and the surrounding environment affect how a sensor behaves.

This exact code is described in JCC’s range catalogue as microwave on/off emergency. It should not be confused with the separate microwave step-dimming emergency variant. The catalogue lists JC72305EMMW as non-dimmable, despite the conflicting DSI entry on JCC’s current product webpage. If a project requires a particular dimming protocol, verify the supplied model and its current driver specification before ordering.

FAQ's

Can I change how long the light stays on after movement stops?
Yes. The hold time is adjustable in the range instructions. An installer can choose a setting suited to how people use the space.

Can it avoid switching on when the corridor is already bright?
The sensor instructions include a selectable daylight threshold. The installer can set the operating behaviour and test it in the room.

Does it dim down to a low level when nobody is present?
JCC’s range catalogue calls JC72305EMMW “microwave on/off emergency” and lists a separate JC72305EMSD microwave step-dimming emergency model. Choose the latter type if a retained low-light level is essential, subject to checking its full specification.

Is JC72305EMMW DSI dimmable?
The published information conflicts. JCC’s current webpage says DSI, while its range catalogue lists JC72305EMMW as non-dimmable microwave on/off and identifies JC72305EMDSI as a separate DSI emergency code. Confirm the driver and label on the supplied unit before promising DSI control.

Is the fitting 40W or 49W?
JCC’s current technical table says 40W, while its page heading and older range catalogue say 49W. Check the rating label on the stock being sold or request an updated SKU-specific specification from JCC before publishing a definitive wattage.

Is it 1200mm or 1300mm long?
1200mm is the nominal product description. JCC lists the complete fitting’s overall length as 1300mm, with a width of 300mm and depth of 54mm. Use the overall dimensions when checking fit.

What colour light does it give?
It provides fixed 4000K neutral white light. It is not described as a selectable colour temperature model.
