The JCC JC54302 Commercial LED Downlight is a high-output recessed fitting created for larger retail, office and public-facing interiors. Its integrated 35W LED light source delivers approximately 3960 lumens of neutral-white illumination, providing a powerful alternative to older compact fluorescent and conventional commercial downlights.

With an IP54 rating, efficient performance and broad 60-degree beam, the JC54302 is suitable for shops, supermarkets, hotels, reception areas, corridors, communal buildings, offices and other commercial premises requiring bright general lighting.

High-output 4000K illumination

The JC54302 produces a fixed 4000K neutral-white light. This colour temperature creates a clean, practical appearance that works well in workplaces and customer-facing environments.

Broad, practical beam distribution

A 60-degree beam angle spreads the light across a wide area, supporting general illumination rather than narrow accent lighting. This helps create practical coverage across aisles, floors, counters, work surfaces and circulation routes.

For professional installations, the quantity and spacing should be determined from the mounting height, room dimensions, target lux level and relevant photometric data.

Built for large commercial ceiling apertures

The JC54302 requires a 170mm ceiling cut-out and has an overall diameter of approximately 190mm. Its larger bezel helps cover the prepared ceiling opening, making it useful for compatible retrofit projects involving older commercial fittings.

The product measures approximately 75mm deep, but JCC specifies a minimum ceiling-void requirement of 150mm. The electrician must check the full available void before installation and allow adequate space for the fitting, connections and ventilation.

Spring clips hold the downlight securely within the ceiling. Class II construction provides double-insulated electrical protection, and the fitting operates from a standard 220–240V supply.

Reduced routine lamp maintenance

The integrated LED design removes the need for regular lamp replacement. This can be particularly valuable in commercial buildings where downlights are installed in large quantities or in locations that are difficult to access.

The complete luminaire must not be covered with thermal insulation. Required clearances should be maintained around the fitting and electrical components according to JCC’s installation instructions.

IP54 protection

The IP54 rating provides protection against limited dust ingress and splashing water from any direction. This makes the JC54302 suitable for more demanding interior environments than a standard IP20 downlight.

Installation in bathrooms or washrooms remains subject to the exact location, relevant zone, circuit protection and current BS 7671 requirements.

Fixed, non-dimmable operation

The JC54302 is non-dimmable and should be connected to a conventional switched lighting circuit. It must not be connected to a Triac dimmer, DALI system or 1–10V controller.

Where brightness adjustment, scene control or occupancy-based dimming is needed, an alternative compatible commercial downlight should be selected.
