A black display spotlight you can aim as displays change

The JCC JC47441BLK Starscoop is a black circular recessed LED spotlight designed for indoor display lighting. Its dark finish can sit discreetly in a black or dark-coloured ceiling, while the adjustable head directs attention towards merchandise, feature walls and showroom displays. JCC’s product-specific page rates this 20W model at 2,020 lumens of 4000K neutral white light through a focused 36° beam. 

The head can rotate through 350° and tilt through 35°. That makes JC47441BLK useful in spaces where the display layout changes: the installer can plan a ceiling position with enough flexibility to aim the beam towards a shelf, product grouping or architectural feature. A focused beam also calls for deliberate spacing. If several displays need even illumination, consider the mounting positions, aiming and overlap between fittings rather than relying on one spotlight to cover the whole area. 

Plan the ceiling opening before installation

This is a recessed fitting with an overall diameter of Ø145mm and a minimum 150mm ceiling void requirement. JCC’s installation sheet specifies a Ø120–130mm cut-out for the 20W circular Starscoop and recommends trying a sample hole in spare material. Check the ceiling structure and services before cutting, and do not confuse the Ø145mm overall fitting diameter with the cut-out size. 

JCC specifies die-cast aluminium construction, Ra 80 colour rendering, IP20 protection and indoor use only. JC47441BLK is a Class II, 220–240V AC fitting and is non-dimmable. JCC also states that the fitting must not be covered with insulation. Its instructions tell installers to leave the factory-set DIP switches as supplied.
