JCC JC121448 RGBW 2.4GHz RF LED Strip Receiver – 350W Maximum

Build a responsive, multi-zone colour-changing lighting system with the JCC JC121448 RGBW LED strip receiver. Installed between a compatible constant-voltage driver and JCC RGBW LED tape, this compact controller receives wireless commands from the JCC JC121449 handheld remote, allowing users to change colours, adjust brightness and select dynamic lighting effects.

This makes the JC121448 an effective choice for RGBW feature lighting in restaurants, bars, hotels, entertainment rooms, kitchens, retail displays, reception areas and other residential or commercial interiors.

Wireless control without direct line of sight

The JC121448 uses a 2.4GHz radio-frequency signal, so the compatible remote does not require a direct line of sight to the receiver. The controller can therefore be positioned out of view in an accessible indoor enclosure, cabinet or service area.

When paired with the JC121449 remote, the system offers a maximum control distance of up to 30 metres, subject to the building construction, receiver position and surrounding radio-frequency interference.

Create scalable multi-zone RGBW installations

Up to ten JC121448 receivers can be assigned to each lighting zone. The compatible JC121449 remote supports three zones, allowing one handheld control to operate as many as 30 receivers across a correctly designed installation.

Receivers within one zone respond together, making it possible to coordinate multiple LED strip sections throughout a large room. Different receiver groups can also be assigned to separate zones for independent colour, brightness and lighting-effect control.

Up to 350W maximum receiver output

The JC121448 has a maximum output rating of 350W per receiver. However, the permitted LED tape load is also limited by the wattage of the connected constant-voltage driver. The total RGBW strip wattage must not exceed either the receiver’s 350W capacity or the driver’s rated maximum output.

JCC provides the following examples when using a 180W driver:

• Up to 10 metres of 17.6W/m JCC RGBW LED tape
• Up to 25 metres of 7.2W/m JCC RGBW LED tape

Longer lighting schemes should be divided between additional drivers and receivers. Voltage drop, cable length, conductor size and installation layout must also be considered when designing each section.

Correct driver and voltage selection

The receiver is listed for use with 12V or 24V DC constant-voltage systems. JCC RGBW LED tape operates at 24V DC, so a compatible 24V non-dimmable constant-voltage driver should be selected when installing the controller with JCC tape.

The connected driver must be matched to the voltage and calculated wattage of the LED strip. Conventional mains dimming should not be used on the driver unless the complete system has been specifically designed and approved for that control method. Colour selection and brightness adjustment are performed through the receiver and compatible RF remote.

Compact design for professional installations

Measuring approximately 85mm x 45mm x 23mm, the JC121448 can be incorporated discreetly into accessible indoor lighting installations. JCC recommends maintaining at least 100mm between the driver and receiver to reduce the possibility of RF interference.
