Description
The JCC JC121367 Recessed Aluminium LED Strip Profile is a 1.5-metre channel for creating longer, cleaner runs of integrated LED strip lighting. Designed for compatible 10mm-wide LED tape, it is ideal for kitchens, fitted furniture, wardrobes, shelving, reception desks and commercial display installations.
Longer recessed lighting with fewer profile joins
At 1.5 metres long, the JC121367 can cover wider cabinets, shelves and architectural features with fewer joins than shorter profile sections. This helps produce a more consistent finished appearance across longer straight lighting runs.
Its recessed design allows the aluminium channel to sit within a prepared groove, leaving the opal diffuser and retaining flange visible. The result is a discreet, built-in lighting detail rather than an exposed surface-mounted channel.
The supplied opal polycarbonate diffuser softens direct light from the LED tape and helps reduce visible LED points. The finished effect depends on the LED density, tape brightness, profile depth and viewing angle. High-density or COB LED strip is recommended where a smoother line of light is important.
Installation benefits for electricians
The JCC JC121367 is manufactured from aluminium, providing a secure base for the LED tape and assisting with thermal transfer. It measures approximately 1500mm long, 30.3mm across the overall profile and 10mm high.
The manufacturer’s technical information also identifies a narrower internal or body measurement, so electricians should not assume that the complete 30.3mm overall width is the required cut-out. Measure the physical profile or consult the current dimensional drawing before routing cabinetry, plasterboard or furniture.
The profile accommodates compatible 10mm-wide LED strip. Connectors, solder joints and cable entries must also fit inside the available channel space.
With an IP20 rating, the JC121367 is intended for dry indoor use. The aluminium profile and diffuser do not waterproof the LED tape or electrical terminations.
