The JCC JC121363 Surface-Mounted Aluminium LED Strip Profile is a one-metre lighting channel designed to give compatible 10mm LED tape a cleaner, more professional appearance. Supplied with an opal diffuser and two polycarbonate end caps, it provides a complete-looking solution for visible indoor strip-lighting installations.

Professional linear lighting with fewer joins

The one-metre length makes the JC121363 particularly useful for longer shelves, kitchen units, wardrobes, display cabinets, reception counters and commercial feature-lighting installations. Compared with shorter profile sections, it can reduce the number of joins required across continuous lighting runs.

Instead of leaving LED tape exposed, the aluminium profile houses the strip inside a slim silver channel. This protects the tape from light accidental contact while helping conceal its adhesive backing, solder joints and internal wiring.

The included opal diffuser softens direct light from the LEDs and can reduce the visibility of individual LED points. The final lighting effect depends on the type and density of the LED tape, the distance between the LEDs and diffuser, and the viewing angle.

Practical surface installation for electricians

The JCC JC121363 is designed for surface mounting, making it suitable for installations where cutting a recessed channel is impractical. It measures approximately 1000mm long, 23.5mm wide and 10mm high, allowing it to provide a discreet linear finish without requiring significant installation depth.

The profile accepts compatible 10mm-wide LED strip. Electricians should check the total width of any solder joints, plug-in connectors or cable entries because these components can be wider than the LED tape itself.

Its aluminium construction provides a secure mounting surface and can assist with transferring operating heat away from the LED tape. Correct tape wattage, driver capacity, ventilation and maximum continuous-run requirements must still be followed.

The IP20 rating makes the JC121363 suitable for dry indoor locations. The channel and diffuser do not increase the IP rating of the LED tape or make an indoor strip suitable for bathrooms, wet areas or outdoor installations.
