Deliver stronger, flexible colour-changing feature lighting across larger projects with the JCC JC121329 50m high-output IP65 RGBW LED strip. This professional 24V contractor reel combines red, green, blue and a dedicated 3000K warm-white channel, allowing one lighting system to provide vivid colours, dynamic effects and comfortable everyday illumination.

Its higher 17.6W per metre power rating makes JC121329 particularly suitable for installations requiring more substantial RGBW performance than JCC’s lower-wattage 7.2W/m strip. Applications can include hotels, bars, restaurants, covered terraces, entertainment venues, retail displays and protected architectural features.

Dedicated warm-white lighting and 16 colour options

When connected to compatible JCC RGBW controls, the four LED channels combine to provide 16 colour options. Customers can select static colours, adjust brightness and activate available dynamic effects using the appropriate controller and remote control.

Unlike basic RGB tape, JC121329 incorporates a dedicated white channel. This produces a more practical 3000K warm-white light for relaxed hospitality, residential and entertainment environments without relying on mixed RGB colours to simulate white.

High-power reel requiring planned lighting zones

At 17.6W per metre, the complete 50-metre reel represents a calculated connected load of 880W. It cannot be connected to one driver or one 350W JCC RGBW controller.

A professional installation should divide the reel into shorter, separately powered sections. One practical arrangement is five 10-metre sections:

• Tape length per section: 10 metres
• Calculated load per section: 176W
• Suggested driver capacity: suitable 180W 24V driver
• RGBW controllers required: one appropriately rated controller per section

JCC’s calculation table confirms that a 180W driver can support approximately 10.2 metres of 17.6W/m tape. Multiple controllers may be assigned to compatible remote-control groups where several sections need to operate together.

Designed to minimise voltage drop

JCC advises that LED strip runs exceeding 10 metres may experience increasing voltage drop, depending on the cable, driver and installation configuration. This can result in reduced brightness or inconsistent colour performance further along the tape.

Dividing the JC121329 into separately powered sections of approximately 10 metres helps produce more consistent output while keeping each section within the capacity of its driver and controller.

IP65 protection with essential resealing

The IP65 covering provides protection against dust and water jets when the strip is correctly installed. This makes it suitable for selected exterior and moisture-prone applications where standard IP20 tape would not provide sufficient protection.

Cutting or reconnecting the strip interrupts its protective covering. Every exposed end, joint and connector must be resealed using suitable heat-shrink protection, compatible silicone end caps and appropriate silicone sealant.

The driver, RGBW controller, cable entries and terminations must have separate environmental protection appropriate to their location. IP65 does not make the tape suitable for submersion or continual exposure to running water.

Flexible cutting and professional finishing

The JC121329 can be cut every 100mm at the marked copper contacts. When reconnecting sections, the positive, red, green, blue and white channels must be matched correctly.

Installation inside a compatible aluminium profile is recommended. A profile protects the tape, assists heat dissipation and holds a diffuser that helps produce a cleaner, more professional lighting effect.

RGBW controllers, remote controls, 24V drivers, five-core connectors, sealing accessories and aluminium profiles must be purchased separately unless expressly included. The system should be designed and installed by a qualified electrician.
