Powerful, wide-beam lighting for commercial outdoor areas

The JCC JC050010 Toughflood Pro Commercial LED floodlight is built for sites that need more light than a small domestic floodlight can provide. Its 70W fitting delivers 8,800 lumens of 4000K neutral white light through a 110° beam, making it a strong candidate for building perimeters, yard access, loading areas, larger forecourts and external working spaces. The wide beam can help illuminate a broad area, while the final number and position of fittings should be chosen to meet the site’s lighting requirements. 

JC050010 belongs to JCC’s Toughflood Pro Commercial range. The black, surface-mounted fitting has an adjustable bracket with 180° of tilt, giving the installer flexibility to direct light towards a route, entrance or working area. Careful positioning also helps manage unwanted light spill towards neighbours, windows and roads. JCC specifies Ra 80 colour rendering and an output of 126 lumens per circuit watt for this product code. 

Outdoor protection and a practical installation

The manufacturer lists IP65 protection against dust and moisture and IK07 impact protection for JC050010. These ratings make it suitable for an appropriately planned outdoor commercial installation. Its slim body measures 224.6 × 274.9 × 31.9mm, and it is pre-wired with 1m of flex to help the electrician plan the connection point. The operating temperature range listed for the product is −25°C to +50°C. 

The fitting runs from a 220–240V AC supply, is Class I and needs an earth connection. JCC’s instructions call for a stable, flat mounting surface and a suitable IP-rated connector; a terminal block is not included. They also advise against locations exposed to continual running water or flooding. The installer should check the seals, gasket and cable gland before energising the fitting.

Choose the right control and light level for the site

JC050010 is non-dimmable, and JCC does not list an integrated PIR sensor for this code. If the scheme needs timed operation, photocell control or motion activation, the electrician should specify a suitable separate control arrangement and check its compatibility with the installation. For projects with a measured lux requirement, beam placement, mounting height and the surrounding surfaces matter as much as the headline lumen figure.
