JCC JC050005 Toughflood Commercial 70W LED Floodlight – 7,400 Lumens, IP65 IK08 Black

The JCC JC050005 Toughflood Commercial LED floodlight is a 70W black outdoor fitting for commercial building exteriors, access routes, yards and working areas. JCC’s technical table and installation sheet both specify 7,400 lumens of 4000K neutral white light, delivered through a 110° beam. That combination makes it useful where a broad area needs clear, fixed-colour illumination. The number and positions of fittings should be chosen for the site rather than estimated from wattage alone. 

This is the Toughflood Commercial model, with features worth checking when planning an installation. JCC lists a 2m pre-wired H05RN-F cable for exterior applications, an ADC12 die-cast aluminium body, and a 55° angled galvanised-steel bracket designed to improve access to the fixing points. The body measures 255 × 229 × 36mm. Its polycarbonate diffuser is described by JCC as suitable for food-preparation applications; the complete installation should still be assessed against any site-specific hygiene requirements. 

Protection and positioning

JC050005 is listed as IP65 against dust and moisture and IK08 for impact protection. JCC specifies an operating temperature range of −20°C to +40°C. Its installation sheet gives a maximum mounting height of 5m, useful to know before ordering for a high wall or gantry. The surface must be flat and stable, with fixings suitable for the material; the fixings are not supplied. JCC advises against installation in places exposed to continual running water or flooding. 

The floodlight is non-dimmable and JCC does not list a built-in PIR for this code. If the project calls for motion activation, a timer or a photocell, have the electrician specify a suitable separate control arrangement. The fitting runs from a 220–240V AC supply, is Class I and needs an earth connection. JCC’s instructions require a suitable IP-rated connector for the wiring and say that a terminal block is not included.
