Emergency outdoor lighting with a clean architectural finish

Light paths, entrances and landscaped areas with the JCC JC039010 louvered emergency LED bollard. This black outdoor bollard combines selectable everyday lighting, a built-in photocell and an emergency version in one coordinated fitting. Its louvered head gives it a considered appearance for residential developments, commercial grounds, pedestrian routes and building approaches.

Choosing an exterior bollard often means balancing the look of the installation with practical decisions about light level and colour. JC039010 lets the installer select 12W, 16W or 20W and choose from 2700K, 3000K, 4000K or 5700K. That gives you flexibility to use a warmer tone beside planting and hospitality spaces, or a cooler tone where a crisp, functional appearance is preferred. These are selectable settings on the fitting; they are not a dimming function. JCC specifies this model as non-dimmable.

Photocell control for outdoor routes

The photocell is supplied as standard and can be disabled when the lighting scheme calls for another control arrangement. With the photocell enabled, the bollard can respond to ambient daylight, making it useful for paths and entrances where automatic evening operation is wanted. The photocell is a light sensor; JC039010 should not be described as a PIR motion-sensor bollard.

The emergency version of the louvered bollard

JC039010 is the EM emergency variant in JCC’s louvered bollard range. It is a relevant choice when a project calls for an outdoor bollard with emergency provision as well as normal route lighting. JCC’s installation instructions identify a permanent-live connection for EM models, so the electrical design and installation should account for the emergency function. Emergency duration, emergency light output and suitability for a particular escape route should be checked against the project’s lighting design and the product-specific documentation before specifying quantities or spacing.

Built for an outdoor installation

The IP65 rating makes JC039010 suitable for appropriate exposed outdoor positions, while its black finish and 120mm width help it sit neatly alongside contemporary buildings and landscape features. JCC markets this as a 600mm bollard and lists its overall dimensions as 640mm × 120mm—use the overall figure when checking clearance and setting out an installation. It is a Class I, 220–240V AC fitting and requires an earth connection.

The fitting can be fixed with anchor bolts on a suitable flat, even surface. For a different ground installation, JCC lists the JC039025 root mounting kit as an available accessory. JCC’s instructions specify outdoor use and advise against installation near continual running water. A qualified electrician should select the mounting method, cable and circuit arrangement for the site.

For projects extending beyond a single path, JCC also lists a matching wall light, making it easier to carry a consistent exterior lighting style from the route to the building. The product page lists a five-year warranty; JCC’s installation sheet explains that the standard two-year cover extends to five years when registered within the first year of purchase, subject to its terms.
