Description
The JCC JC030031 Commercial Linear LED batten is a smart choice for rooms where people spend hours working, learning or moving around. Its clean white body looks at home in offices, classrooms, meeting rooms, corridors and other commercial interiors. More importantly, JCC specifies a UGR below 19 for the fitting, making it a useful option when you are planning lighting for screen-based work and want to consider glare as well as brightness. The glare performance of a completed room still depends on the full lighting design, including fitting positions, room surfaces and sightlines.
At 1200mm long, 164mm wide and 48mm high, this 4ft linear fitting offers a broad, tidy ceiling presence. It can be screw fixed or suspended according to JCC’s mounting information, giving installers a choice when planning the layout. Its white finish blends easily with typical light-coloured ceilings, while anti-tamper end caps help secure the diffuser in place.
Set the output to suit the job
One of the most useful features of JC030031 is its four selectable wattage settings. The installer can choose 22W, 25W, 28W or 31W, rather than selecting a different product code every time a room needs a different output. At the manufacturer’s stated 4000K reference setting, JCC lists corresponding light outputs of 2860, 3300, 3650 and 4020 lumens. That makes the lower settings worth considering for a smaller or already well-lit space, while the higher settings give the lighting designer more output for a larger room or a higher mounting position. Final spacing and light levels should be checked against the actual room.
You can also select the colour appearance before use: 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white or 5700K cool white. For a customer, this means the same model can suit a softer reception area, a general office or a space where a cooler-looking light is preferred. For an electrician or contractor, it gives more flexibility when the desired colour temperature has not been finalised at the ordering stage. JCC instructs installers to isolate the power before changing either the wattage or colour temperature.
