JCC BC020001 75W 24V TRIAC Dimmable Constant-Voltage LED Driver

Control compatible 24V LED strip lighting from a conventional mains wall dimmer with the JCC BC020001 75W TRIAC dimmable LED driver. Designed for professional indoor installations, it converts a 220–240V AC mains supply into a regulated 24V DC constant-voltage output.

The driver supports both leading-edge and trailing-edge TRIAC dimmers, providing an adjustable dimming range from approximately 10% to 100% when used with compatible LED tape, dimmer controls and suitable circuit loading.

Designed for compatible 24V LED strip

The BC020001 provides a maximum LED load of 75W and a 24V DC output current of up to 3.125A. JCC also specifies a minimum connected LED load of 30W or 1.25A, which must be considered when designing shorter strip-lighting runs.

Maximum recommended LED strip lengths include:

• 4.8W/m LED strip: up to 15.6 metres
• 9.6W/m LED strip: up to 7.8 metres
• 14.4W/m LED strip: up to 5.2 metres

These figures are based on the driver’s maximum capacity. Cable length, voltage drop, installation temperature, dimmer compatibility and the particular LED strip must also be assessed by the electrician.

Leading-edge and trailing-edge dimming

The BC020001 uses mains-side TRIAC dimming, allowing compatible LED tape to be controlled from a suitable leading-edge or trailing-edge wall dimmer. This makes it a practical choice for kitchens, shelving, coving, display furniture, hospitality interiors and residential feature lighting where adjustable brightness is required.

The selected dimmer must be suitable for LED driver loads. Its minimum and maximum loading, control method and compatibility should be checked before installation to minimise flickering, restricted dimming or unstable operation.

Built-in electrical protection

The driver includes automatic-recovery protection against short circuits, overload and excessive operating temperature. Once the fault or unsafe condition has been corrected, the protection system can recover without requiring the driver to be permanently replaced.

The unit also provides a Class II, SELV 24V output and power-factor correction rated at 0.9.

Indoor installation with essential airflow

The white IP20 enclosure measures approximately 220mm x 58mm x 40mm. It is intended for dry indoor locations and must not be covered with insulation or installed where airflow is restricted.

The driver should remain accessible for inspection and maintenance. It is rated for operation between -25°C and +50°C, but the installer must also consider the surrounding enclosure, connected load, cable routing and heat generated during operation.
