Description

The Heatrae Sadia Hotflo 7700739 is a 50 litre vertical unvented electric storage water heater with a 3kW nominal heating element. Designed for light commercial premises, it provides stored hot water for applications such as canteens, washrooms and commercial kitchens.

This is the Hotflo 50 V, the smallest capacity in the manufacturer’s 50–100 litre range. It offers a narrower, shallower body than the larger vertical models, making it worth considering where installation space is limited and 50 litres meets the assessed demand.

Capacity should be selected around peak usage, simultaneous outlet use and reheating time. This is a storage heater, so it heats a tank of water and needs recovery time after substantial draw-off.

Duplex stainless steel inner vessel

The inner storage vessel is manufactured from high-grade duplex stainless steel, selected by Heatrae Sadia for corrosion resistance and longevity. Insulation helps limit heat loss while water is stored, and thermostatic control regulates heating.

The 50, 80 and 100 litre Hotflo models all have the same nominal 3kW element rating. Choosing a larger model increases the stored reserve rather than the heating power.

Mains-fed hot water with standard or mixer taps

The unvented design uses the incoming cold-water mains supply without a separate cold-water storage cistern. The range works with standard or mixer taps and supports multiple-basin applications where the supply and demand calculations allow.

There is no universal basin count for this model. Incoming pressure, flow rate, pipework and the amount of water used at each outlet all affect the suitability of the installation.

A temperature and pressure relief valve is factory fitted. The complete system also needs the correct water controls, expansion provision and safety discharge arrangement, installed in accordance with the matching instructions.

Check the full installation space

The manufacturer lists the 7700739 at 1007mm high, 371mm wide and 350mm deep. These are product dimensions; additional space is needed for connections, installation components and servicing.

Its published weight is 21.2kg empty and 71.2kg full. The installer must check the supporting structure, fixings and exact installation drawing before fitting.

Designed, engineered and manufactured in the UK, the Hotflo 50 V carries a five-year inner-container warranty and two-year standard warranty with on-site service support, subject to the manufacturer’s terms.

FAQ's

What is the Heatrae Sadia 7700739?

It is the Hotflo 50 V: a 50 litre vertical unvented electric storage water heater with a nominal 3kW element.

Where would this model normally be used?

The manufacturer identifies light commercial applications including canteens, washrooms and commercial kitchens. The installer must assess the required hot-water demand.

Is it an instantaneous heater?

No. It heats stored water. After substantial use, the replacement cold water needs time to reach the selected temperature.

Can it be fitted horizontally?

This product is the vertical version. The 50 litre horizontal Hotflo is a separate model, code 7037030.

How does it compare with the 80 and 100 litre versions?

It has less storage and a narrower, shallower body. All three vertical capacities have the same nominal 3kW element rating.

Can it supply several basins?

The range supports multiple-basin installations. There is no fixed basin count verified for this exact model; suitability depends on consumption, simultaneous demand and supply performance.

Does it require a cold-water storage cistern?

No. It uses the incoming cold-water mains through the specified control arrangement.

Does it work with standard mixer taps?

Yes. The manufacturer supports standard or mixer taps, subject to the complete installation being suitable.
