The Heatrae Sadia Multipoint Eco 7693971 is a 30 litre horizontal unvented electric storage water heater with a 3kW nominal heating element. Designed for light commercial applications, it provides local stored hot water for premises such as canteens, washrooms and commercial kitchens.

This exact model is the Multipoint Eco 30H. Its horizontal layout provides an alternative where the height of a vertical heater would be difficult to accommodate. The manufacturer specifies horizontal wall mounting, with the water connections on the left-hand side.

Smart mode learns how hot water is used

The electronic thermostat includes a Smart mode that monitors hot-water consumption. After a minimum one-week learning period, it adjusts heating according to previously recorded usage.

This helps the heater respond to recurring periods of higher and lower demand. Actual energy use still depends on consumption, settings and the installation; there is no fixed saving that applies to every premises.

The digital display and push-button controls also provide access to Manual, Vacation and programmed operation. Up to three heating periods within a 24-hour day can be set, allowing heating times to be planned around occupancy or a suitable electricity tariff.

Stainless steel tank and automatic pasteurisation

The inner vessel is made from duplex stainless steel, and the heater includes an automatic pasteurisation function supporting control of bacteria within the stored water.

This function does not replace management of the wider hot-water system. For handwashing applications, the manufacturer requires appropriate water tempering at the point of use.

The 30 litre capacity should be selected around peak demand, simultaneous outlet use and recovery time. This is a storage heater, so replacement cold water needs time to heat after substantial draw-off.
