The DANLERS CBU-CEFL is a ceiling flush mounted passive infrared (PIR) occupancy detector with an integrated photocell, designed for wireless lighting control through the Casambi system. It detects movement and measures ambient light levels, allowing lighting behaviour to be configured to suit the needs of different indoor environments.

PIR Occupancy Detection and Photocell

The integrated PIR sensor detects movement within its coverage area, allowing compatible Casambi lighting equipment to respond to room occupancy. Its integrated photocell measures ambient light levels and can be used for daylight linked lighting control or as a photocell.

The sensor's time delay and daylight threshold settings can be configured through the Casambi app. This flexibility allows the CBU-CEFL to be adapted to different room layouts and occupancy requirements.

For optimum coverage, a mounting height of approximately 2.4m to 3m is recommended, with a detection diameter of up to 7 metres under suitable conditions.

Wireless Casambi Lighting Control

The CBU-CEFL integrates into a Casambi wireless mesh network and is designed to work with other Casambi enabled equipment. Users can configure its occupancy detection and lighting control settings through the Casambi app, available for compatible smartphones and tablets.

This makes it suitable for installations where wireless lighting control is required without relying on a conventional central lighting controller.

Flush Mounted Ceiling Installation

The CBU-CEFL is designed for discreet installation in a suspended or plasterboard ceiling. It fits through a 73–75mm diameter ceiling hole and requires a ceiling void at least 78mm deep.

Its white, flame retardant polycarbonate housing provides a neat finish that blends into many ceiling designs.
