Description

The Collingwood Thea Pro THP4N is a white recessed LED downlight with selectable 14W and 25W settings. It produces 2,000 lumens at 14W or 3,500 lumens at 25W, allowing the installer to choose the output to suit the lighting design.

Its fixed 4000K cool white light provides a neutral appearance for commercial interiors, including offices, hotels, schools, washrooms and circulation areas. The white RAL 9003 finish and white reflector give it a clean appearance against typical ceiling finishes.

Choose the light output to suit the space

The two power settings offer flexibility when specifying lighting for different areas of a building. The lower setting provides 2,000 lumens, while the higher setting increases output to 3,500 lumens where more light is required.

Wattage selection is separate from dimming. THP4N includes an on/off, non-dimmable driver, so it is suited to installations using straightforward switching. Projects requiring dimming need an appropriately specified driver arrangement.

This model has a fixed 80° beam for general downward illumination. It does not tilt, and its colour temperature remains 4000K at either power setting.

Optional UGR19 insert for glare control

The standard fitting has a published UGR22 rating. Where the lighting specification calls for UGR19, Collingwood offers the THP34UGR insert, purchased separately.

This distinction matters when ordering: the standard downlight should not be described as UGR19 without the required insert. The complete lighting layout should also be assessed for the room and its working conditions.

IP65 protection below the ceiling

The downlight is rated IP65 from below and IP20 from above. Collingwood identifies it as suitable for bathroom Zone 1 applications, subject to correct positioning and installation. The rear of the fitting and its connections still need a suitably protected ceiling space.

An ADC12 aluminium housing, TP(a) thermoplastic classification and published 850°C glow-wire test provide useful specification details. These material classifications do not establish a ceiling fire-resistance duration.

Practical connections and serviceable components

The driver is included, with a plug-and-play connection to the downlight and push-fit loop-in/loop-out terminals for installation. The visible fitting has a 220mm diameter.

Collingwood’s design allows the LED assembly and driver to be serviced by an appropriate professional, supporting maintenance without automatically replacing the complete fitting.

Emergency conversion equipment and glare-control accessories are available separately. The product carries a five-year manufacturer’s warranty, subject to registration and the applicable conditions.

FAQ's

Does THP4N include its LED driver?

Yes. THP4N includes an on/off, non-dimmable driver, with a plug-and-play connection between the driver and downlight.

Is it a 14W or 25W downlight?

Current Collingwood data specifies selectable 14W and 25W operation. These settings provide 2,000 and 3,500 lumens respectively. Older catalogues may describe THP4N only as a 25W fitting.

Can I dim it using an ordinary LED dimmer?

Not with the supplied driver. This exact model is specified for on/off operation. Dimming requires an approved compatible driver arrangement rather than simply adding a dimmer switch.

Does changing the wattage change the light colour?

No. The light remains 4000K cool white at either setting. Wattage selection changes the available light output.

Which ceiling cut-out size should I use?

Collingwood’s installation instructions specify 185–200mm, while the product title, drawing and some technical fields state 165–200mm. Confirm the supplied fitting’s requirements before cutting a new opening, particularly below 185mm.

Will the 220mm bezel cover my existing ceiling hole?

It may, provided the opening is within the confirmed mounting range and the surrounding ceiling is sound. A 220mm bezel alone does not establish that the fitting can be secured in every smaller opening.

How much space is needed above the ceiling?

The current specification gives a 100mm body depth, while the drawing shows 99mm. Allow additional space for the driver, cable routing and installation access; body depth is not the complete clearance requirement.

Is the standard downlight UGR19?

No. The standard fitting is listed as UGR22. Collingwood specifies the separately purchased THP34UGR insert for its UGR19 configuration.

Will the UGR19 insert guarantee suitable lighting for every office?

No. The insert provides the manufacturer’s specified glare-control configuration. The room, viewing positions, fitting layout and required light levels still need assessment through the lighting design.
