Description
The Collingwood THL1T Thea Lite CSP is a white 10W recessed LED downlight with selectable colour temperature and an included mains-dimmable driver. Designed for a 100mm ceiling cut-out, it provides broad general lighting for spaces such as washrooms, cloakrooms, corridors and stairs.
Its white RAL 9003 finish sits neatly against a white ceiling, while the fixed 80° beam spreads light across the surrounding area. This is a complete LED fitting with a supplied driver, so there is no separate GU10 lamp to choose.
Choose warm white, neutral white or cool white
The colour temperature switch offers 3000K, 4000K and 6000K settings. Warm white 3000K gives a softer appearance, 4000K provides a neutral white light, and 6000K produces a cooler appearance.
This flexibility is useful when matching the lighting to the room or keeping a consistent appearance across a refurbishment. The setting is selected on the fitting; it is not a colour-changing light controlled by an app.
Light output varies slightly with the selected colour temperature. At 3000K it produces 1,100 lumens, rising to 1,200 lumens at 4000K and 6000K. Power consumption remains 10W at each setting, with efficacy reaching 120lm/W.
Dimmable driver included
The supplied driver supports leading-edge and trailing-edge mains dimming, allowing brightness adjustment with a compatible dimmer. Dimmer compatibility and loading should be checked for the planned installation.
The THL1T is the mains-dimmable version. It should not be confused with the driverless THL1X or described as a complete DALI fitting with its standard supplied driver.
Plug-and-play connections between the components, together with push-fit loop-in/loop-out terminals, help simplify installation.
Shallow fitting for recessed ceilings
A 33mm luminaire body depth makes this model useful where ceiling space is restricted. The installer must also allow room for the separate driver, connections and necessary clearances; 33mm is not the complete installation-space requirement.
The fitting is rated IP54 from below and IP20 from above. This provides splash protection at the room-facing side while the rear and driver remain protected within the ceiling space. Collingwood specifies that the fitting must not be covered with insulation.
Additional features include Class II construction, a TP(a)-rated thermoplastic component, an 850°C glow-wire test specification and a stated L80 LED life of 50,000 hours.
The standard product has no emergency function built in. Compatible emergency conversion equipment is available separately. Collingwood lists a five-year warranty, subject to its terms and registration requirements.
