Description
Collingwood SL13030 Black Warm White LED Garden Spike Light
Bring individual plants and garden features into view after dark with the Collingwood SL13030 LED spike light. Its compact black anodised aluminium body sits discreetly among planting, while the adjustable head directs a focused beam onto the feature you want to highlight.
This 3000K warm white garden spotlight is designed for accent lighting around flower beds, borders and pathways. It is a useful choice when you want to add detail and depth to a garden lighting scheme without using a large, visually prominent fitting.
Focused light for planting and garden features
The 26° beam concentrates the light onto a smaller area, helping draw attention to selected planting or a decorative feature. This makes it suited to creating individual points of interest rather than washing a whole garden with light.
The head offers 90° tilt adjustment, allowing the installer to aim the beam to suit the feature and the position of the spike. Careful aiming also helps keep the light on the intended subject and away from direct lines of sight.
With a 42mm head diameter, the fitting is small enough to sit among plants without dominating the daytime appearance of the border.
Fixed 3000K warm white light
The integrated LED produces 3000K warm white light, giving planting and surrounding materials a warm appearance in the evening. This exact model has a fixed colour temperature; it does not switch between different shades of white.
For customers planning several lights, using the same colour temperature throughout a section of the garden helps create a consistent appearance. The manufacturer specifies CRI above 80 and SDCM3 colour consistency for the SL130 range.
Two output levels, selected through the LED driver
The light operates at 1W with a 350mA supply or 2W with a 700mA supply. Published output is 75 lumens at 350mA and 135 lumens at 700mA.
These are driver-dependent operating options, rather than settings on a switch fitted to the spike light. Your installer can select the appropriate arrangement for the lighting design and the number of fittings required.
A compatible constant-current LED driver is required. The light must not be connected directly to a 230V mains supply or treated as a standard 12V garden light. The manufacturer specifies series wiring, with driver selection and loading checked for the complete installation.
Outdoor construction with a long mounting spike
The casing and spike are made from black anodised aluminium. An IP65 rating provides protection for outdoor use, and Collingwood lists the SL130 as coastal protected.
The long spike is included to help secure the fitting in the ground. A 3m H05RN-F rubberised cable provides flexibility when positioning the light within the planting scheme and routing the connection.
Suitable outdoor connectors and junction boxes should be selected for the installation. The fitting’s IP rating does not automatically protect separately made cable joints.
Plan the light and driver together
The SL13030 is particularly useful where the appearance of the fitting matters as much as its evening effect: its small black housing allows the planting to remain the main feature.
When ordering, include the appropriate constant-current driver and connection accessories in the installation plan. Dimming depends on the chosen driver and control arrangement. Collingwood offers a seven-year extended warranty, subject to registration and manufacturer terms.
