Description

Adjustable LED high bay lighting for commercial and industrial spaces

The Collingwood Flex Bay HBAS2V40 is a black LED high bay with three selectable power settings: 150W, 175W and 200W. Designed for indoor commercial and industrial lighting, it gives installers a choice of light outputs within one fitting, making it useful for warehouse, workshop and factory lighting projects.

Its fixed 4000K cool white light provides a neutral appearance for working environments. A 90° beam distributes the light below the fitting, with positioning and spacing selected to suit the building, working areas and required illumination.

Three power settings with up to 30,000 lumens

The selected wattage determines the panel’s light output:

  • 150W - 22,500 lumens

  • 175W - 26,300 lumens

  • 200W - 30,000 lumens

This flexibility allows the installer to select an appropriate output during installation. It also makes ordering more straightforward where different areas of a project require different lighting levels.

Collingwood rates the fitting at 150 lumens per watt. The wattage selector sets the operating power, while the separate 0–10V dimming interface allows compatible controls to adjust brightness.

Optional motion and daylight controls

The Flex Bay includes a central twist-and-lock Zhaga sensor interface for compatible plug-in accessories. Sensors are purchased separately, allowing the control arrangement to be chosen around how the space is used.

Options include PIR motion sensing, microwave sensing, daylight control and compatible wireless modules. For example, the optional HBPIRDLD PIR and daylight harvesting sensor can respond to occupancy and adjust lighting as natural daylight changes.

The standard fitting does not include a motion sensor or wireless control module.

Durable housing and practical installation features

An ADC12 aluminium alloy body, black RAL 9005 finish, IP65 protection and IK08 impact rating suit demanding indoor working environments. The fitting measures 297mm in diameter and 167mm high, with a published weight of 2.15kg.

It comes pre-wired with a 1m H05RN-F 3 × 1.0mm² cable. Collingwood lists jack chain, M10 drop rod and catenary wire suspension options, allowing the mounting arrangement to suit the building structure.

The included driver is removable for maintenance, and the specified operating temperature range is −20°C to +50°C.

Standard non-emergency version

HBAS2V40 is the standard version without emergency operation. Where emergency lighting is required, specify the appropriate emergency variant or approved conversion equipment as part of the lighting design.

The published LED lifetime is 50,000 hours. Collingwood lists five-year product warranty cover and two-year on-site support, subject to its conditions and registration requirements.

FAQ's

Which wattage settings does this exact Flex Bay offer?

HBAS2V40 offers 150W, 175W and 200W settings. The 100W and 125W settings mentioned elsewhere in the Flex Bay range apply to the smaller HBAS1V40.

How much light does each setting produce?

Collingwood publishes 22,500 lumens at 150W, 26,300 lumens at 175W and 30,000 lumens at 200W. These are fitting outputs, rather than the lux level achieved on a floor or work surface.

Should I select 150W or 200W for my warehouse?

The appropriate setting depends on mounting height, fitting spacing, racking, working areas and the required illuminance. A lighting calculation should establish the output and layout; ceiling height alone is not enough.

Is wattage selection the same as dimming?

No. The selector establishes the fitting’s operating power setting. Its 0–10V dimming interface allows compatible controls to adjust brightness separately.

Can it be connected to an ordinary wall dimmer?

This model specifies 0–10V control, rather than conventional mains phase-cut dimming. The installer must use a compatible control arrangement and follow the driver wiring instructions.

Is a motion sensor supplied?

No. The fitting has a central Zhaga connection for compatible plug-in accessories, but the sensor is purchased separately.

Which optional sensor provides motion detection and daylight harvesting?

Collingwood lists HBPIRDLD, a PIR sensor with daylight harvesting. It can respond to movement and adjust the light output as natural daylight changes. Its published typical installation height is 8–12m.

What is the difference between a daylight threshold and daylight harvesting?

A daylight threshold determines whether the light should operate according to the available daylight. Daylight harvesting adjusts brightness as daylight changes. Choose the accessory that provides the required behaviour.

Does it include Casambi wireless control?

No. Compatible Casambi modules are listed as separate accessories. Wireless operation depends on fitting and commissioning the appropriate module.
