Is this H2 Lite colour switchable?
No. DLT388MW5530 has a fixed 3000K warm white colour temperature and a fixed 4.3W rating. It does not have the colour and wattage selectors found on the H2 Lite CSP.
Can the light be tilted towards a wall or worktop?
No. This is a fixed downlight with a 55° beam. Choose an adjustable fitting if the installation requires the beam to be aimed.
Does dimming make the light warmer?
This model is specified as fixed 3000K with mains dimming. It is not advertised as dim-to-warm, so brightness adjustment should not be described as changing its colour temperature.
Which dimming controls does it support?
Collingwood specifies TRIAC mains dimming with compatible leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers. Check the dimmer’s LED load limits and compatibility with the installed quantity rather than relying on its headline wattage alone.
What is the difference between the cut-out and the overall diameter?
The ceiling opening must be 64–72mm in diameter. The visible fitting is 90mm across. The larger outer diameter covers the edge of the opening; it is not the hole size.
Does a 46mm depth mean it will fit any 46mm ceiling void?
Not necessarily. The published figure is the fitting depth. The installer must also allow for the connector, cable routing and installation requirements before confirming that the available void is sufficient.
Can it be covered with insulation?
Yes. Collingwood lists the updated H2 Lite as coverable with rolled and blown insulation. Follow the instructions supplied with the fitting and the requirements of the ceiling construction.
Is it suitable for a bathroom ceiling?
Collingwood lists Zone 1 ceiling suitability. The fitting is IP65 from below and IP20 from above, so the protection differs on each side of the ceiling. Suitability still depends on the complete installation.
Can it be installed outside under a porch or soffit?
Collingwood states that this H2 Lite is not suitable for exterior use. Its IP65 rating from below should not be treated as approval for outdoor installation.
Is it approved for 90-minute I-joist ceilings?
The detailed manufacturer sheet lists solid timber approvals of 30, 60 and 90 minutes, with 30-minute approvals for I-joist and metal-web constructions. The tested construction must match the installation.
Does using a converter plate retain the fire rating?
No. Collingwood states that a converter plate does not affect the IP rating, but the product is no longer fire-rated when one is used.
