Description

The Collingwood EMRW1MS is a 1.5W non-maintained recessed emergency downlight that produces 150 lumens at 6500K. The product requires a 50mm ceiling cut-out and incorporates an IK08 polycarbonate housing with a temperature-monitored LiFePO4 battery.

FAQ's

Is the EMRW1MS maintained or non-maintained?

The EMRW1MS is a non-maintained emergency downlight. It remains off during normal operation and illuminates from its internal battery when the normal mains supply fails.

How long will the emergency light operate during a power failure?

Collingwood specifies a three-hour emergency duration across its emergency-lighting range, supporting evacuation and situations where early reoccupation may be required. The battery must be fully charged and commissioned according to the installation instructions. Collingwood Lighting

Is the EMRW1MS supplied as manual test or self-test?

It combines both functions in one fitting and is supplied in self-test mode. Removing the green two-pin jumper changes the unit to manual-test operation.

When should an electrician select manual-test mode?

Manual test may suit projects where emergency-lighting tests are recorded and initiated through an established maintenance procedure. Self-test is generally more convenient when automatic testing and easier fault identification are preferred.

What is the difference between the included open-area and corridor lenses?

The open-area lens distributes light across a wider space for anti-panic lighting. The corridor lens directs illumination along escape routes and narrow passageways. The correct lens should be selected from the emergency-lighting design.

How many EMRW1MS fittings are required for a project?

The quantity and spacing cannot be determined from the 150-lumen output alone. Electricians and designers should use the correct lens photometric data, mounting height, room dimensions and required emergency illumination levels when preparing the layout.
