Black LED downlight with a choice of light colour

The Collingwood H2 Lite Select DLT389BLK is a black, fixed LED downlight that lets you choose the light colour to suit your room. Its 5W integrated LED provides useful general lighting, while the black bezel creates a defined contrast against a pale ceiling or coordinates with darker interior details.

It is a practical option for kitchen refurbishments, bathroom ceiling lighting, hallways and living spaces where you want a consistent fitting with different lighting appearances available.

Choose a warmer or cooler appearance

A selector on the back of the downlight offers three settings:

• 2700K: A warmer light appearance, producing 600 lumens.

• 3000K: Warm white light, producing 650 lumens.

• 4000K: Cool white light, producing 650 lumens.

This allows the installer to select the colour during installation. It is colour-temperature selectable rather than an RGB colour-changing light, and the wattage remains 5W at each setting.

Dimmable lighting for everyday use

The H2 Lite Select supports TRIAC mains dimming with compatible leading-edge or trailing-edge dimmers. This lets you reduce the brightness when full output is not needed.

The integrated driver means a separate LED driver does not need to be purchased. Match the dimmer to the connected LED load and manufacturer guidance for dependable operation.

Compact dimensions and straightforward wiring

The fitting has an 85mm overall diameter, a 44mm body depth and a 60–72mm ceiling cut-out range. Its compact body is useful when planning installations with limited ceiling space, although the complete installation still needs the required clearances.

For electricians, the detachable two-part connector allows first-fix wiring with the downlight disconnected. The LENNEL terminal arrangement supports loop-in/loop-out wiring, with lever terminals and testing ports to assist installation and maintenance.

Insulation-coverable and fire-rated for tested ceiling systems

Collingwood specifies that the fitting can be covered with rolled and blown insulation.

Its published fire approvals cover 30, 60 and 90 minutes in specified solid-timber ceiling systems, plus 30 minutes in approved I-joist and metal-web systems. Match the approval to the actual ceiling construction.

If a converter plate is used, Collingwood states that the IP rating remains unchanged but the fitting is no longer fire-rated.

Bathroom ceiling suitability

The downlight is IP65 from below and IP20 from above. Collingwood lists it for bathroom Zone 1 ceiling installation, subject to the installation requirements.

It is an indoor downlight. The manufacturer specifically excludes exterior use, so its front IP65 rating should not be treated as an outdoor approval.

The H2 Lite Select carries a five-year manufacturer warranty, subject to registration and Collingwood’s terms.
