Description
Add traditional character to a modern lighting installation with the Scolmore Click Deco VPAB011BK 10AX one-gang, two-way plate switch. Its antique brass finish, square-edged Victorian design and contrasting black rocker create a distinctive decorative appearance suited to period properties, traditional interiors and contemporary rooms with heritage-inspired details.
The switch controls one lighting circuit and supports both one-way and two-way switching. It can operate a light from a single position or be connected to another compatible two-way switch so the same lighting circuit can be controlled from two locations. Typical applications include hallways, staircases, bedrooms with two entrances and larger living spaces.
A black insert, matching black gasket and black rocker provide a bold contrast against the antique brass plate. The square-edged Victorian styling works particularly well with period décor, dark furniture, natural wood, exposed brick and other antique brass wiring accessories from the Click Deco range.
The rocker switch is interchangeable with compatible Click MiniGrid modules, giving installers greater flexibility when maintaining or adapting the accessory. The plate accepts one single-width MiniGrid module and can be configured using a suitable compatible switch module when replacement or alteration is required.
Rated at 10AX and 250V AC, the switch is suitable for appropriate domestic and commercial lighting loads, including compatible fluorescent and inductive loads. It uses screw terminals with capacity for up to four 1.5mm² or two 2.5mm² solid conductors, and Scolmore specifies a terminal torque of 0.5Nm.
The antique brass plate measures approximately 88mm wide, 88mm high and 8mm deep, while the complete accessory measures around 91 × 91 × 25mm. It uses standard 60.3mm horizontal fixing centres and requires a minimum 16mm mounting-box depth.
The VPAB011BK is IP20 rated for protected indoor locations and operates between approximately -5°C and +40°C. It complies with BS EN 60669-1 and is covered by Scolmore’s 20-year manufacturer’s warranty, subject to the applicable warranty conditions.
