Description

CED Airmaster SPH1.5 1.5kW Wall Mounted Electric Panel Heater with LCD Thermostat and 7-Day Timer

A chilly bedroom in the morning? A home office that feels cold while you work? The CED Airmaster SPH1.5 electric panel heater gives you a simple way to heat a room without taking up floor space. It fixes to the wall, runs quietly and has a slim white design that sits neatly beneath a window or on another suitable wall.

The heater has a 1.5kW output and CED lists it as suitable for a room of up to approximately 15m². That makes it an option for a bedroom, study, home office or similar sized room. How warm it feels in practice will also depend on insulation, ceiling height and how much heat the room loses. The heater measures 720mm wide, 450mm high and 110mm deep, so it is worth measuring your wall before ordering.

Set a comfortable temperature and a weekly routine

The LCD screen and built-in thermostat let you choose the temperature you want. When the room reaches that setting, the thermostat stops the heater from heating until it is needed again. You can also set a 7-day heating programme around your routine, such as warming the room before you get up or before you start work. Three preset programmes are available if you would rather begin with a ready-made schedule.

For everyday use, there is a Comfort mode, a lower-temperature Eco mode and an anti-frost mode. The heater also has an optional open-window detection function: if it detects a drop in temperature, it can switch to anti-frost mode rather than continuing to heat the room as usual. Its quiet operation is especially useful in a bedroom or workspace where the noise of a fan heater would be distracting.

Important before you buy

SPH1.5 is a wall mounted, hard-wired heater. It does not come with a plug and is not a freestanding portable heater. CED supplies a wall bracket and fixing screws; electrical connection should be carried out by a competent installer in line with the instructions. The heater has IPX4 splash resistance, overheat protection and a one-year manufacturer warranty. CED does not list Wi-Fi, app control or a remote control for this model.

FAQ's

What is the CED Airmaster SPH1.5?

It is a 1.5kW white electric panel heater that is fixed to a wall and hard-wired into the electrical supply. Its LCD controls include a thermostat and a programmable 7-day timer, so you can choose both the room temperature and when the heater runs. CED recommends it for rooms up to 15m² and lists quiet operation, anti-frost mode, open-window detection, overheat protection and an IPX4 rating. It measures 720 × 450 × 110mm. It is not a plug-in, freestanding or Wi-Fi-controlled heater.

Can I just plug it into a socket?
No. SPH1.5 is hard-wired and has no plug fitted. Arrange for a competent installer to connect it according to the supplied instructions.

Does it stand on the floor?
No. This model is designed to be mounted vertically on a wall. CED lists a wall bracket and fixing screws among the supplied items.

Can I set it to come on before I wake up?
Yes. The built-in 7-day programmer allows you to schedule heating periods for different days and times. The manual also describes three preset programmes.

Will the heater stay on constantly once I switch it on?
The thermostat controls heating according to your chosen temperature. The manual says the heater stops heating when the measured room temperature is above the set temperature. Your selected programme and mode also affect when it heats.

Does it make a fan noise?
CED describes the SPH1.5 as silent in operation. It is a panel heater rather than a fan heater, which makes it appealing for a bedroom or home office.

What does the open-window function do?
When switched on, it responds to a detected drop in temperature by entering anti-frost mode. According to the manual, it returns to the previous mode when the temperature rises. It is a temperature-detection feature; it does not physically detect whether a window is open.
