Description

CED Airmaster CR2BWIFI 2kW Black Wi-Fi Oil Filled Radiator with Timer, LED Controls and Wheels

When one room needs more heat than the rest of your home, the CED Airmaster CR2BWIFI gives you a portable way to warm it. This black 2kW oil filled radiator has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, an LED touch display and a built-in timer. You can use the controls on the heater or set up its connected functions to manage your heating more conveniently. CED does not name a specific app or describe its scheduling functions on the product page, so check the instructions supplied with the heater when setting up Wi-Fi.

Choose the setting that suits the day. Comfort mode provides 2000W of heat when the room needs warming; Eco mode uses 800W; and Anti-Frost mode offers a frost-protection option. The nine-fin, oil filled design produces warmth without a fan blowing air around the room. CED lists an effective coverage area of approximately 20m², making it an option for a living room, bedroom or home office of a suitable size. Insulation and heat loss will affect the result in any particular room.

The CR2BWIFI is designed to stand on the floor, with four wheels and fitting parts supplied so you can move it between suitable rooms after it has cooled. It comes with a 13A UK plug, so it does not need to be hard-wired. Its black finish and digital display offer a more contemporary appearance than a traditional white oil heater.

CED also specifies an overheat safety cut-off and tip-over switch. Place the radiator upright on a stable floor, allow space around it and never cover it with clothing. Its IPX0 rating means it should be used in a suitable dry indoor location, away from splashes.

FAQ's

Can I still use it without connecting it to Wi-Fi?
The radiator has its own LED touch controls, so you can operate it at the unit. Wi-Fi is an additional connected feature.

Does it have a timer?
Yes. CED lists a timer for CR2BWIFI. The product page does not specify whether its timer offers a daily schedule, weekly schedule or particular app routines, so those details should be checked in the supplied instructions.

What heat settings does it have?
It has Eco at 800W, Comfort at 2000W and Anti-Frost modes. Anti-Frost is a frost-protection setting, rather than a third stated wattage.

What size room is it suitable for?
CED gives an effective coverage area of 20m². Use that as a guide; the warmth you achieve depends on insulation, windows, room height and outside temperature.

How much does the CR2BWIFI cost to run?
At 2000W, one hour of continuous heating uses approximately 2kWh. At the 800W Eco setting, it uses approximately 0.8kWh for an hour of continuous heating. Multiply the relevant figure by your electricity tariff per kWh. Actual use varies with the controls and how long the heater actively heats.

Is it quiet enough for a bedroom?
CED describes its oil filled radiator range as providing silent heating. This model does not use a fan to blow warm air across the room.

Does it need professional installation?
CR2BWIFI is floor standing and comes with a 13A UK plug. Fit the supplied wheel assemblies as instructed, place it upright on a suitable floor and plug it into an appropriate socket. It does not need hard-wiring.

Can I move it from my office to the living room?
Yes. CED supplies four wheels, feet plates and fixings for the portable radiator. Turn it off, unplug it and let it cool before moving it.

Can I use it in a bathroom?
The CR2BWIFI is IPX0 rated, meaning CED does not claim water-ingress protection for this model. Use it in a suitable dry indoor room rather than where it could be splashed.

12. What safety features are included?
CED specifies an overheat safety cut-off and a tip-over switch. These features support safe use, but the radiator must still stand upright with clear space around it and must never be covered.
