The Casambi CGW-KNX-01-B is a professional KNX DALI Hybrid Gateway designed to integrate Casambi wireless lighting control with KNX building automation systems. Combining KNX-DALI and Casambi technology within one ready-made solution, the gateway provides a straightforward way to incorporate Casambi wireless luminaires into KNX-controlled lighting installations.
The CGW-KNX-01-B supports up to 64 DALI devices on a single DALI bus, making it particularly suitable for smaller and medium-sized lighting projects. Casambi luminaires can appear within KNX ETS as standard DALI devices, allowing lighting to be controlled through existing KNX switches, sensors, touch panels and scene controllers.
The gateway supports advanced lighting functions including dimming, Tunable White (TW) and RGB control, depending on the connected lighting equipment and project configuration. This makes the CGW-KNX-01-B suitable for modern smart building projects where KNX building automation needs to work alongside flexible Casambi wireless lighting.
KNX and Casambi Lighting Integration
The Casambi CGW-KNX-01-B effectively bridges two major building and lighting control technologies: KNX and Casambi.
The gateway combines a KNX-DALI Gateway with a Casambi DALI Gateway Controller in a single packaged solution. This avoids the need to manually combine separate gateway components and provides an integrated approach to connecting Casambi wireless lighting with KNX infrastructure.
The CGW-KNX-01-B operates with KNX TP and provides a single DALI bus capable of addressing up to 64 DALI devices and up to 32 DALI sensors. The DALI output provides 16V DC with 148mA guaranteed current and 250mA maximum current.
