The BG 881M/HC-01 Nexus smart master dimmer switch provides convenient app, touch and voice control for compatible dimmable lighting. Finished in classic white moulded plastic, this 1 gang, 2 way smart LED dimmer is ideal for bedrooms, living rooms, dining areas, hallways and other modern domestic lighting installations.

Using the BG Smart App, homeowners can switch lights on or off, adjust brightness, create lighting scenes, set automatic schedules and activate random operation from a compatible smartphone. The dimmer works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Siri, allowing suitable lighting to be controlled using hands-free voice commands. It connects to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network following initial Bluetooth pairing and requires no separate smart-home hub or subscription.

The 881M/HC-01 is a single master smart dimmer that can provide two-way lighting control when paired with a compatible BG Smart secondary dimmer. This makes it suitable for controlling the same lighting circuit from two positions, such as at both ends of a hallway or at the top and bottom of a staircase.

Designed for retrofit installations, this no-neutral smart dimmer switch fits a minimum 25mm mounting box and includes captive terminal screws for straightforward fitting. Its built-in overload protection and soft-start operation help protect compatible lamps, while leading-edge or trailing-edge dimming can be selected through the app to suit the connected lighting load.

The BG smart master dimmer supports dimmable LED loads from 10W to 150W in trailing-edge mode, LED loads from 10W to 100W in leading-edge mode and compatible incandescent or halogen loads up to 150W. All connected lamps must be suitable for dimming, and multiple lamps on the circuit should be of the same type.
