The BG 822/HC-01 Nexus smart double socket combines two 13A UK power outlets with convenient app, voice and manual control. Its slim white moulded design suits modern homes, offices and light-commercial interiors, providing a practical replacement for a conventional indoor double switched socket.

Each socket can be controlled individually through the BG Home App, allowing users to switch connected appliances on or off remotely, create operating schedules, set countdown timers and activate random security functions. Household access can be shared with other users, while parental-lock settings help protect the configured controls.

The BG 822/HC-01 works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Siri Shortcuts and IFTTT, providing hands-free voice control and wider smart-home integration. It connects directly to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, so no separate gateway hub, paid cloud service or ongoing subscription is required.
