BG Evolve PCDCL42W-01 Double 2-Way Light Switch

Control two separate lighting circuits from one stylish accessory with the BG Evolve PCDCL42W-01 Pearlescent White Double 2-Way Light Switch. Combining two standard rocker switches with a slim screwless front plate, it delivers practical lighting control and a clean decorative finish for modern domestic, commercial and hospitality interiors.

The switch contains two independent 2-way mechanisms, allowing each rocker to control a separate light or lighting zone. Each switch can be used for conventional one-way operation or connected to another compatible 2-way switch so the same lighting circuit can be operated from two positions.

This makes the PCDCL42W-01 suitable for controlling combinations such as:

• Main and feature lighting
• Ceiling and wall lights
• Kitchen and dining-area lighting
• Indoor and outdoor lights
• Hallway and landing circuits
• Bedroom main and bedside-controlled lighting

Pearlescent White Screwless Design

The subtle Pearlescent White finish complements white, cream, pale-grey and neutral interiors. Its coordinated white rockers create a consistent appearance across the accessory, making it suitable for kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, offices, apartments and hotel interiors.

The low-profile decorative front plate clips onto the installed switch base, concealing the mounting screws for a modern screwless appearance. The plate can also be removed during painting or wallpapering and refitted once decorating is complete.

Unlike the PCDCL42EW-01 edge-to-edge version and PCDCL42WW-01 wide-rocker version, the PCDCL42W-01 uses two conventional standard-sized rockers.

20A 16AX Double Switch

The switch is rated at 20A and 16AX and operates from a 220–240V supply. The 16AX rating makes it suitable for appropriate lighting loads that may produce higher currents during switching, subject to the connected circuit remaining within the manufacturer’s published specification.

Both switch mechanisms operate independently, allowing two circuits to be controlled from one standard UK single-gang wall position.

Captive Backed-Out Terminals

Captive backed-out terminal screws are supplied in a ready-to-wire position, helping electricians complete connections efficiently while reducing the risk of terminal screws being dropped or lost.

The published terminal capacity is:

• Two 2.5mm² conductors
• Four 1.0mm² conductors
• One 4.0mm² conductor
