Description

Upgrade an everyday power point with the BG Nexus Metal NFB21B-01 matt black 13A single switched socket. Its compact one-gang design provides a standard UK three-pin outlet with an individual rocker switch, making it ideal for powering lamps, televisions, chargers, home-office equipment and other suitable household appliances.

The premium matt black metal finish gives the socket a clean, contemporary appearance suited to modern kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, offices and commercial interiors. A matching black insert and rocker create a coordinated monochrome look, while the slim plate has softly rounded edges and no visible plastic surrounding the switch.

The rocker allows the connected appliance to be switched off locally without repeatedly removing its plug. The outlet accepts a standard UK three-pin plug and is rated at 13A and 250V AC for compatible mains equipment.

Angled, in-line and colour-coded terminals make the electrical connections easier to identify during installation. Captive, backed-out terminal screws reduce preparation time and help prevent loose screws from being misplaced.

Twin earth terminals are fitted as standard for suitable high-integrity earthing arrangements. BG’s technical sheet lists terminal capacity for up to three 2.5mm², three 4mm² or two 6mm² conductors, subject to the circuit design and installation requirements.

Specification

The BG Nexus Metal NFB21B-01 is a matt black 13A single switched socket for standard UK three-pin plugs.

It provides one mains outlet with a local rocker switch, allowing a connected appliance to be switched on or off without removing its plug. The socket is suitable for compatible household and commercial electrical equipment within its 13A rating.

The metal front plate has a slim profile, softly rounded edges, a matching black insert and no visible plastic around the rocker. An integrated gasket helps protect the plate edges from moisture associated with new plaster.

Twin earth terminals, colour-coded connections and captive terminal screws support professional installation. The socket requires a minimum 25mm back box, uses 60.3mm fixing centres and measures approximately 86 × 86 × 29–30mm.

The NFB21B-01 is rated at 13A and 250V AC, has an IP20 rating and complies with BS 1363-2:2016+A1:2018. BG provides a 25-year manufacturer’s warranty.
