Description

Improve room energy management with the BG Nexus Metal NBSKYCSG-01 brushed steel hotel key card switch. Inserting a suitable key card activates the connected electrical supply, helping ensure designated room services are only powered while the space is occupied.

When the card is removed, the switch maintains power for approximately 30 seconds, giving guests time to leave without the lighting switching off immediately. A locator LED makes the card slot easier to find at night, while the brushed steel plate, grey insert and softly rounded edges provide a smart finish for hotels and other managed accommodation.

Rated at 16A, the switch supports up to 1800W of resistive load or 800W of inductive load. It has a single-pole mechanism, anti-fingerprint lacquer, captive terminal screws, an integrated gasket and a minimum 47mm mounting-box requirement.

Specification

The BG Nexus Metal NBSKYCSG-01 is a brushed steel 16A hotel key card switch with a contrasting grey insert and locator LED.

When a suitable card is inserted, the switch activates the connected room electrical supply. Removing the card starts a 30-second power-off delay, allowing guests time to leave before the controlled lighting or services switch off. This can help reduce unnecessary energy consumption in unoccupied hotel rooms.

The switch is rated for 1800W resistive loads and 800W inductive loads and uses single-pole switching. Its Nexus Metal plate has softly rounded edges, an anti-fingerprint lacquer and an integrated gasket designed to help protect the metal edges from moisture.

The NBSKYCSG-01 measures approximately 86mm high, 86mm wide and 47mm deep, uses 60.3mm fixing centres and requires a minimum 47mm mounting box according to BG’s official technical sheet. It is IP20 rated and covered by a 25-year manufacturer’s warranty.
