Designed for spur circuits and hardwired equipment, this decorative fused spur combines local fuse protection, double-pole switching and a front flex outlet in one compact wall accessory.

The unit is suitable for connecting compatible fixed appliances that require a fused supply rather than a standard plug and socket. Typical applications can include correctly specified boilers, extractor fans, heaters, pumps and other permanently connected equipment, subject to the appliance instructions and circuit design.

A double-pole rocker switch disconnects both the live and neutral conductors when switched off, providing a clear local isolation point for the connected appliance. The rocker is paired with a flush, low-power LED indicator that provides a visible indication when the switched output is energised.

The front-mounted flex outlet allows a suitable appliance cable to leave the accessory neatly without requiring a separate cable outlet plate. A removable blanking section is incorporated into the design, allowing the outlet to remain closed when a front flex connection is not needed.

Finished in contemporary satin brass, the PCDSB52B-01 brings a warmer metallic detail to kitchens, utility rooms, living spaces, offices and commercial interiors. Its contrasting black fuse carrier and rocker complement dark appliances, black hardware and matching satin brass sockets and switches from the BG Evolve collection.

The low-profile screwless front plate clips securely over the wired base, hiding the fixing screws for a cleaner wall finish. It can be removed during painting or redecorating while the electrical base remains installed, helping protect the decorative surface from paint, dust and accidental marks.

Installation is supported by angled, colour-coded terminals that make the live, neutral and earth connections easier to identify. Captive backed-out terminal screws help prevent screw loss, while fixing screws and installation instructions are supplied.

The official technical specification lists terminal capacity for three 2.5mm² conductors, three 4mm² conductors or one 6mm² conductor. Twin earth terminals are fitted for suitable high-integrity earthing arrangements, subject to the requirements of the complete circuit.

Rated at 13A and 250V AC, the fused connection unit has an IP20 rating for protected indoor locations. It complies with BS 1363 Part 4 and is certified under Intertek ASTA licence number 1015.

The accessory measures approximately 86mm high, 86mm wide and 30mm deep, uses standard 60.3mm fixing centres and requires a minimum 35mm mounting box. The existing box depth, cable space and terminal clearance should be checked before installation.
