Three Independent Lighting Controls

The PCDMG43B-01 contains three separate rocker mechanisms. Each rocker controls its own lighting circuit, allowing three lights or lighting groups to be operated independently from one standard single-gang plate.

It is particularly useful for lighting arrangements such as:

• Main ceiling lights, wall lights and pendant lighting
• Kitchen downlights, island pendants and under-cabinet lights
• Living-room lighting, feature lights and display lighting
• Bedroom ceiling lights, wall lights and dressing-area lighting
• Three separate zones within an open-plan room

Each connected circuit can remain on or off independently, giving the user more control over the room’s brightness and atmosphere.

2-Way Switching on All Three Rockers

Every rocker provides 2-way switching. This means each connected lighting circuit can be controlled from a second location when correctly paired with another compatible 2-way switch.

A 2-way arrangement is commonly used in bedrooms with doorway and bedside controls, hallways with switches at both ends, staircases or rooms with more than one entrance. Each rocker may also be used for normal one-position control where a second switching point is not needed.

The PCDMG43B-01 should not be confused with an intermediate switch. Controlling the same light from three or more positions requires compatible intermediate switching within the circuit.

20A 16AX Lighting Rating

The switch is rated at 20A and 16AX, with the official BG specification listing a nominal voltage of 250V AC. The 16AX inductive rating makes it suitable for appropriate lighting loads that may create increased current during switching.

The connected lamps, drivers, circuit protection and wiring must remain within the manufacturer’s ratings. This is a mechanical on-and-off switch and does not provide dimming, timers, motion detection, Wi-Fi connectivity or smart-home control.

The electrical base can be installed before decorating is complete, while the Matt Grey plate can be left off during painting or wallpapering and clipped into position afterwards. This helps protect the visible finish and makes future redecoration more convenient.
