Description
Create convenient lighting control from three or more positions with the BG Evolve PCDMG13B-01 matt grey intermediate light switch. Designed for multi-point lighting circuits, this decorative switch is ideal for long hallways, large landings, staircases and open-plan spaces where the same light needs to be operated from several locations.
An intermediate switch is normally installed between two compatible 2-way switches. While the switches at either end provide the main two-way control, the intermediate switch creates an additional operating point in the middle of the circuit. This makes the PCDMG13B-01 a practical choice for larger homes, offices, hotels and commercial buildings with several entrances or access points.
The contemporary matt grey finish offers a softer alternative to matt black and a more distinctive appearance than standard white accessories. It works especially well with modern neutral interiors, industrial-style rooms, concrete-effect walls and matching sockets or switches from the BG Evolve matt grey collection.
Its slim screwless front plate conceals the fixing screws, producing a clean and streamlined finish on the wall. The plate clips on and off easily, allowing it to be removed during painting or redecorating without disturbing the installed electrical base.
Captive, backed-out terminal screws help make installation quicker while reducing the risk of screws being lost during fitting. The terminals accept two 2.5mm², four 1mm² or one 4mm² conductor, and the switch requires a minimum 25mm mounting box depth.
Rated at 20A 16AX, the PCDMG13B-01 operates at 220–240V and has an IP20 rating for dry indoor locations. The accessory does not require its own earth terminal, making it a potential decorative replacement option in appropriate older installations where no earth conductor is present. The condition and suitability of the complete wiring installation must still be checked by a qualified electrician.
